Tell me of games to play while I await the release of Tomb Raider Legend? Tell me a bit of info on the game you choose and tell me why I should play it???
Greatly appriciated! :D
My idea, although you may have this already, i'm sure you've heard of it....
The Sims2: PC- a "virtual life" game, where you control the actions of an entire neighborhood and watch them grow old, (if you can keep them alive that long!) It's an immensely fun game, with unlimited possibilities, many other TR fans also enjoy the game. i myself have made an entire mini-series from The Sims 2 footage, and Windows Movie Maker.
what ever you end up doing, it can help take up some time. :) that's my opinion.
btw, if you want to see, although you dont have too, here's a link to my Sim Page. >click here< (http://thesims2.ea.com/mysimpage/mysimpage.php?user_id=1042271)

Melonie Tomb Raider
Beyond Good and Evil
u could play all other TR! 1-2-3-4-5-6! ( that's what i'm doing before to get to legend) ^^
If you want something with TR-like action, you can play Indiana Jones & The Emperor's Tomb.
BTW, since this topic isn't about TRL, I'll move it to General Chat http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Strange, I'm not really much of a gaming person outside Tomb Raider. However, I'd recommend;
*Black and White - yeah, I know it's getting on a bit, but it's still great fun. Very detailed and interactive, with some bits to make you howl laughing :D .
*Doom III - need I say more? If you like big sexy guns, futuristic creepy settings and turning up the sound on a dark night with only a thin screen of transparent plastic between you and hordes of terrifying thrills, look no further. I've still not finished it a) because my processor can't handle it any more and b) because I'm too frigging scared! :D
*Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, The Sith Lords - OK, a departure from what I would normally play. Role-playing, Jedi, Sith, alien worlds and a pacey, interesting plot (I'm dying to play the first one - some details need filling out). A good all-rounder.
Phew! And I said I wasn't a gaming person... !
oo, oo, oo. an excuse to ramble about computer games yay!
ok, here goes-
Silent Storm - (gold edition now available)
Silent storm is a fantastically innovative game that has been tragically overlooked by many gamers. It is a turn based game set in WW2. The turn system is seamless and surprisingly exciting for a turn based system.
Your mission is to conduct small squad based operations under the guise of the allied special operations SE2 or the axis abwher section 2. You are free to design your own character from their profession, gender, clothing and nationality down to facial features, eye/hair colour and accent.
The game has an excellent physics engine and loads of authentic WW2 weapons the overall effect is very realistic, the only exception being the wonderful panzerkliens (armoured combat suits) available later in the game.
The gold edition sees the exSE2 and abwher agents being recruited to fight together against the terrorist group Thors hammer which survived the end of the war intact.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
This is a modern RPG set in the popular world of Darkness universe created by White Wolf
You take the role of a newly created vampire choosing you clan (bloodline) and attributes. You are then plunged into modern day Los Angelis free to interact with the vampiric community as you see fit. Like all RPGs the game has a basic storyline that can be completed in many different ways.
The game is gripping and aside from the set missions that get thrown your way you are pretty much free to do what you want.
It uses some of the Half life 2 things. I think it was source technology or something. Either way, having played the HL2 demo along with Bloodlines I suggest that they are pretty similar. The lip syncing of the characters is seamless in both games, half life gets slightly better use out of its technology but Bloodlines comes pretty close and considering itís an RPG instead of a liner game its pretty damn good.
A brutal street thug, a sly political mover, a silver tongued socialite, a horrific monster? The world of darkness is your oyster, how will you play the game?
Dawn of War
Brilliant, simply brilliant.
A wonderful RTS that is as brutal as they come. Screw lines of ponsy musketmen, to hell with valourous cavalry charges! Give me a power fist and watch me tear the heart out of the enemy! Literally! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/mischievous.gif
A great game with many new and underused features like moral, cover, no resouce management, strategic points etc
A truly excellent game, well worth a look.
.The Curse of Monkey island
.Half Life generations (digitally remastered versions of the old games)
.Tomb Raider! :D
