Dolores is one of my favorite female vocalists. Her voice is so emotional.

Nomedo:

Well maybe so, but it sure beats most of today's stuff.

Nicky:

I know! You can almost feel the pain in each line.

Oh and for those interested; The lyrics:

Another head hangs lowly,
Child is slowly taken.
And the violence caused such silence,
Who are we mistaken?

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, oh, dou, dou, dou, dou, dou...

Another mother's breakin',
Heart is taking over.
When the vi'lence causes silence,
We must be mistaken.

It's the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen.
In your head, in your head they're still fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are dying...

All names have unique meanings and that is something one should be proud of http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif .

For example, I don't know if it's your real name THORN LOL, But Thorn was one of the five Valkeries that were resposible from bringing the souls of dead warriors to Valhala.

My goodness me Umair! What do you have up your head? A portable encyclopedia?? I'm stunned! Absolutely stunned...I wa going to say you sounded like someone but I'm kind of apprehensive as to whether or not you'd liked being called that. He's a fictional character.

And If I'm not wrong, your real name is Clara, right THORN?

What is your name Angel666?

Catapharact
21-10-05, 17:37
LOL! God No. Just love to know things http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif . I mean, I find it strange that people aren't by far atleast a bit curious about cultures and Civilizations.

Here, let me give you an example. In Ancient Egypt, the Major god that Pharaoh's claimed decendence is Amon Ra. However, suddenly more and more Pharaoh's changed their decendence claim form Ra to teh The god Osiris. It promts the question... Why would they do that?

Well turns out, Osiris, is the god of Judgement, and who would question the final decidion of the person who is his decendent http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif .

Atlantea
21-10-05, 18:38
Yes, I am a very proud Saggitarius as you can see indeed ;) :D

Quetzalcoatl (the feathered snake) is by far the greatest Mayan deity - everything was touched by him. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Andromeda:

You are very welcome http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif . I thought you may be intrested since you seem to have a strong interest for Astronomy http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif .

Atalentea:

Glad to know :D . Oh yes, he has a very tragic Myth as well :( . You see, quetzalcoatl was a Mayan Emperor who brought is such innovations as the Calender http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif . However he was a strong advocate of Human Sacrifice and the Mayan Priests didn't like that. They got him intoxicated one night and he did terrible deeds as a result. To quell for his deeds, he sacrificed himself. The gods honoured him by making him a god http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif .

Atlantea
21-10-05, 18:58
Ah, I knew the myth with Tezcatlipoca (who was his opposite basically), who sent Quetzalcoatl into exile.Or also sometimes he is presented as leaving willingly on a raft of snakes and promises to return.
Then Cortez's landing was viewed initially as Quetzalcoatl's return by Emperor Moctezuma the second.

Catapharact
21-10-05, 19:04
Yes!!!! :D :D :D

Sorry for the outburst, it's just that it's been ages since I had a chance to talk about this LOL!

Yeah by far, Cortez had no interest in any sacrifices. That should have been a dead away right there that he wasn't a god. He wanted gold, nothing else.

Cortez did pay though. He had to watch from the river side, as his men were taken up teh Pyramid and were sacrificed.

Wait a minute...excuse my ignorance but...was it Emperor Moctezuma or emperor Montezuma? Are they two different poeple?

hehe http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif no porblem, nice outburst :D ;)

Yes, well, Cortez, as a "noble conquistadore" as he was, wanted treasure and nothing else. Well, I guess Quetzalcoatl's return was so wanted, that basically anyone who came over the sea was a potential candidate for the emperor.

Well, I don't have much compassion for Cortez - but yes, he did have to pay - well, his intention were not honorable at all, so...
