i am really bad at the tomb raider games and get really scared...(but i think i'll do better in the tomb raider 7 game due to fluid movement and control that they're promising) i'm trying to buy tomb raider merchendise from ebay, watch tomb raider movies, read tomb raider comics and novels, and im studying strategy guides.....Now to further my quest to fan status i think i need a tomb raider mobile game. are the phone games and gba games any good? do you guys like the tomb raider novels?( im reading lost cult and have read only 80 pages and so far its pretty cool)

Have a look at some of the fan stories on this forum for some good TR reading besides the comics etc http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif . I'm sorry but I did't know anything about the TR mobile games :( until you mentioned them!

I think we were all rubbish when we first played Tomb Raider. I know I was. I had the controls in my hand for about 10 seconds before I threw it down, saying "I don't like it!" :D I couldn't control Lara at all well and kept smashing the poor woman into walls all the time. Needless to say, I picked it up again and gradually got better at it. But even now, despite playing the games numerous times, I still have my moments of absolute stupidity and kill Lara in the most unnecessary of ways (usually by doing something like simply forgetting to grab when I've jumped across to a high ledge, so she plummets to her death, or saving when she's on fire).

LMAO :D Well, once I saved the game as Lara was sinking in the quicksand of TR3/Temple Ruins  A most embarrassing moment http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif :D

Practice, practice, practice. Thats what it takes. Keep going, you'll get the hang of it. And don't be afraid to try someting or go somewhere new. Experiment. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I did something similar to Nicky.
When i was playing AOD , Lara was falling and i knew she was going to die. When i went to restart the level i accidently saved the game whislt she was falling! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif So i had to start again quite far back, from where i last saved.

HAhaha net thats me too.. I remember it took me ages just to get past the first three levels of TR1 with out dying and restarting all over again..(memory card issues, looooong story...)

But I still do it anyhow, even though I can move her now with my eyes closed.. I hear that trademark scream and Im like ****, I screwed up again... NO I SAID GO LEFT YOU STUPID *****! *scream*
Ah screw it. *throws controller*

I was playing Bartoli's Hideout once and got to the part where you need to jump in the building and two dogs emerge from the top. So I accidentally fell down and pressed F5 instead of F6. It was so annoying to climb back up. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-1.gif

I played TR so many times, but still today I know to make a mistake that absolute beginner wouldn't do. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

I remember when I was playing Tomb Raider 1, I was at the big alien thing at the end, and I fell off the platform and saved as she was falling instead of re-loading. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif :D

Don't worry hunterelite, you improve as you play. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
