View Full Version : The evolution of Tomb Raider and Lara

You know it's amazing how the game has evolved. I was looking at screenshots yesterday from TR1 and by golly, did they bring back some nostalgic memories! Graphically, I'd forgotten about those black areas such as the sky where basically, scenery is missing:

Also, lara appears smaller in the earlier games but as each game improved it's graphics, lara got bigger. It's as though she grew up and matured but perhaps that was unintentional and only due to the graphics. Nevertheless, that's a good thing. I'm glad the game is still going and hope it continues for a very long time.( Well, forever actually :D )

The Evolution of... I like that. It's like billions of primitive TR games spontaneously formed (programmed by nobody), then after the fittest of the TR games survived... we have what we do today. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif


As for the size of Lara with each new TR game -and her getting bigger- That might be attributed to the increase in polygon count. maybe.

More polygonal faces > a more blocky body. :confused:
