My Lara was drawing herself up on a platform for the umpteenth time in Tomb Raider 1, when she unexpectedly made a roll forwards at the end of the drawing - up motion with her legs following her stretched out together as if she was in a gymnastics competition.

It looked so great and was so unexpected I whooped.

It happened where you pull a switch on a platform on the left side and have to go across a wall and up another platform to jump through a timed door.
I can't recall the room's name right now, but I remember that roll very well indeed.

Did this happen to you? Is she maybe programmed to do this every hundredth drawin - up motion or so?

Hi Adventurer,
the elegant roll that you describe can be recreated every time you climb up somewhere.

Press forward, up, and walk all at the same time when you climb up onto something and you will see the gymnastic roll.
Try the same when you come to the edge of a big drop :D :D

Happy raiding, Aza.

Ay, I think this is discribing the Handstand too.

Handstand = Action + Walk + Forward [All Tomb Raider Titles]
Hanging from a ledge, press Walk then Forward, and Lara will pull up doing a handstand

Two more interesting ones:

Swan Dive = Walk + Jump + Forward [All Tomb Raider Titles]
Standing on a platform, hold Walk and press Jump then Forward
(It is possible to do Running Swan Dives)

Swan Dive with Somersaults = Walk + Jump + Forward.. Roll [All but Tomb Raider 1]
Swan dive but pressing the Roll makes Lara do a somersault
