HELLO! I just recently got my copy of TR1 working and have TR2 and TR3. I am working my way from the begining and am going to get TR4, 5, and AOD when it comes out. Well just like to say, your going to be seeing alot of me around here, for the past week i haven't been able to eat sleep or drink anything BUT tomb raider. I am so addicted. This game is great.

TR is such a cool game isn't it? My first TR game was TR3 and I was hooked after about 5 mins. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
I was playing it in front of my family and every time Lara would slide down the slop and die on the spikes we were like, "why is she dying all the time, what are those things?" and then we figured out we had to jump over the spikes. :rolleyes: :D

Well you will also have to buy the gold editions so you can play all the TR games. There all great.

Tomb Raider 1 is my favourite TR game ;)
I played TR1 in winter 1997, and i still think that TR1 has the best story. Well, other TR games are also very good, but TR1 is still my best TR game http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Youll have great fun with this one. Its definatly the best of the lot. But you had better let us all know how yer gettin on.

TR1 is indeed a great game and what followed can't get it's feeling. But TR4 is the best for me... :D

I also discovered TR this year by playing a demo of TR2. From then on I was hooked. Went on E Bay and promptly bought TR 1, 2, 3, 4, then found #5 in Walmart. About 2 months ago I finished TR1. Loved it in spite of the outdated graphics. I want to play 'em all in order, but who knows how long it will take? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/bash.gif

I am at level 9 of TR2 Gold- the human enemies are much tougher in this one. ;)

I am glad to notice that there are others too who are playing TR for the first time.
Good thing about TR1 and TR2 pc versions are that those don't require 3D cards but TR3 does. So that means I might not have the possibility to play all Tomb Raider games because I don't have the 3D card in computer and I don't have the money to buy that :( ( and also it's my mothers computer :D )

Well, if your playing TR for the first time,then you're in for a wild ride! The series is so much fun! I sounded like you, Butler89 when I first started playing. I had never seen a game like it before in my life. my friends and I became Tombraider junkies ever since the winter of 1997 (and still running)! Have fun Butler89 (and other TR newbies) and keep us updated on your progress. Pierre is a slickster,watch out for him!... Ah... It's a fantastic game series! Sometimes I do binge and just play it for hours at a time, it gets you so involved!

I do agree that the first Tomb Raider was one of the best. Wouldnt it be awesome if Core/Eidos redid the first one with the technology that they have now? I've played the entire first TR twice, but I would play it again just to see the new graphics...*sigh* we can only dream.

Heh, I remember when I first played Tomb Raider. It was TR2 and I had loaded a game that was already started. It was the Great Wall level, and I was so scared of all the tiger bodies laying everywhere, because I thought they were going to leap out at me or something... Wow, I guess I've come a long way since then.
