Duffman. heh heh. So what have you done today?

Duffman
21-01-03, 05:03
gee, well... the cricket is on, so im immersing myself into that (Australia v Sri Lanka)...

Recovering from last nights win, but jump into my basketball team. It was the first game of the year, and it was a shock to the system to do some high physical activity (but great). We only had 5 players and so we needed to work hard for the win agianst a team with 7 players, but as we do frequently, we came out on top.

Working on my personal and my clients website and some web programming on some web based software today. um... job searching is on the cards and dinner soon i believe.

...keeping an eye on the news... i dont know if youve seen, but bushfires are revaging our country and Victoria is included. Two days ago the streets of Melbourne were covered with smoke and it stunk. the sun was the color of a red traffic light due to the smoke and the closeness of the fires - it was wierd.

- relaxing tho on a great 20 somthing degree day -

Rain is good. I like rain :D We had a little bit this afternoon, didn't do any good though.

It's all cloudy outside. I can't work out if it's smoke or fog >_<

They are preparing for the bushfires in our state duffman..just in case they get here the cfs has to be ready. Lucky I don't live near the border of vic, more like tea tree gully..which is half an hour from adelaide...no smokey smells here.I've been to melbourne once...all I remember is that it was compacted and grey buildings everywhere and I saw a rabbit near the train station...good old aussie town! I was actually going to taralgon...i think that's how you spell it. Just hot hot hot! I washed my car today and burnt my feet nearly...even standing on my heels wasnt enough like some desert lizard. I quit my job too...what a relief... I cant be stuffed chancing after people either, only for a while. :D

i cant wait to quit my job dingochick - it will be sweet. - its close now and i just wanna say.. well i better not say it here, ill be nice, dont worry tlr - its getting hotter natla, but was nice today.. a nice breeze. Temps are getting furiously hot tho and those bushfires are cause for concern.

i dont live in the country, but after looking at suburbian canberra im a little concerned. I went to canberra twice and on the news saw the names of the places i went to play basketball. oh yeah, i won a gold medal there too once - an amazing highlight of my life...

as for your impressions of melbourne - i don think we were named the no. 1 city in the world because of your impressions, but you should have seen the beautiful gardens and places like that, truely great...

Evenin', RaiderZ...

Well, it's enough cold here, and it's gloomy and foggy... Brr... I was in the heart of the city, and I've met with some of my Friends in the afternoon. We was talkin' about girls and love and such like things...in the cold street...for hours...okay, we haven't seen each other for long...so I was totally an "ice cube" after that experience! :D

Thank God, it's not snowing at the moment, and it hasn't been snowing - hehe, this is maybe not the correct expression - for 1 or 2 weeks. But it doesn't matter, as it's really winter here from the very beginning of this new year, and there are enough snow here for making some snowmen, or rather some "snow-castles", for instance...

I myself post newspapers every day in the very early morning, and I can say that this kind of weather is very tough for this work! I feel myself like Chase Carver in Shangri-La. Below -5 or -10 (or -15) degrees celsius...hmm, fine and "healthful"...but not for me, and mainly not for as long as it keeps. Okay, I know, it's not an extreme cold wheather like in Canada - Annacia? - for instance, but it's fully enough - hmm, too much - for me... ;) After some weeks: I've had enough of the winter, here...I can say. Especially when I slip on the snow with my all newspapers, hehe... You can imagine... :D

ELEN... I fully understand what You feel. I wanted the snow too, as it's usually enough soft the winter for several years. Well, You won't believe it, but I read in our newspaper that it was at about 18 celsius in Athens, a few weeks before. There was a photo too: I saw people on the beach, with some sunshining... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Really... Well, I'm a bit jealous of You, as it's a bit different here. But as we can't change our area, I ask You about that, do You wish a photo with a fully snowy area, from where I live? My Brother-in-law bought a digital camera, and I love crazy ideas: I can put the picture here... LOL

Elen, I sure am jealous of you. I don't like the cold anymore. I like to be able to be outside and very active. It's only 6 degrees here and everyone is just gloomy and lazy :(

ELEN

Suzanne, I miss summer during winter and vise versa :D :D Although I hate cold now, I wouldn't have any problem to see snow http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif Last week, we had sunshine in Athens and a friend called me from Macedonia (north part of Greece) and told me that they couldn't move because of the snow :(

I love the cold! :D Here in England, we have little snow and the summers I feel are a bit hot. I dream of living somewhere a little cooler and closer to the ocean and nature. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Ever thought of Alaska? Theres lots of cold, lots of coast line and lots of nature. Might be perfect.

Annacia-Everyone says I should be sent to Alaska! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif I would love to go there and ride a dog sled and perhaps see the start of the Iditarod. As for the single men thing...I'm not looking and I'm prepared to wait for fate to bring someone to me. I have a lot of "criteria" and am not prepared to date just anyone. However...all those single men means choice and that can only be a bonus. ;)

Okay, as I told it earlier, here are some winter-pictures - it was snowing again, this week -, exclusively to ELEN, and who check them. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif They are almost from the place where I live ("Lost City Of Zalaegerszeg"): my Brother-in-law took them at His work. I just give the links, as the pictures are so big, and so beautiful... Enjoy! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'm glad to see that You enjoyed the photos! You are All welcome. My favourite is the 2nd also: the sun behind the clouds... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Duffman, Your words are perfect for it, especially the "almost unreal". Eh, some Trance music, please... :D

Yes, those are all from Zalaegerszeg, although that place - where the photos origins - is not exactly from where I live, but it's not far from me (3-4 km perhaps). That place is where my Brother-in-law works, and it's one of the outer places of the town. Zalaegerszeg isn't a big town, there are about 60000 inhabitant here; but they are scattered in a relatively bigger area...

Ocean-Sirius, it's nice to hear about snowing at You. Anyway, I'm not sure about Your home town at all. I wish I could see it myself once! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Anyway I'm a bit fed up with winter here, after one and a half month... :D Okay, I've told my reasons already. And it's the first real winter from ages here... For real... Okay...for this...this is great... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
