I read that thread but most of that I don't understand. On top of that my screen is distorted but not as distorted as some of theirs are. So much information and I can't process it. This problem is out of my computer ability skills. I don't even know how or where to find the things you suggested to look for. Why dont you try glidos (http://www.glidos.net) if this dosnt work or you experiance freezing between levels get it on the psx its a bit slower but you dont get so many problems ;)

Glidos wont install it if you cant install the game get the insaller wizard (http://www.glidos.net/install.html?lang=en)

Thanx for try to help. I downloaded installer wizard but not sure where I should install it to. On top of that I don't know where to download Glidos. I know you gave me an address but what or where do I download from. :confused: :(

unzip the installer and you should get a tomb raider icon on the screen click on this to run the installer wizard
the glidos is a demo so when you get to lost valley a glidos logo appears make sure your 100% happy with the results before you buy it cos tr can still have problems even with glidos.
If you like try and run it without glidos first if you get a crash or the graphics are bad then download http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Personally i stick with the psx version its never failed on me yet ;)

OK...I have downloaded and installed the installer wizard that angelreject2003 told me to as well as the VDMSound. It still won't work, am I forgetting something?

Bear with me guys I'm a little behind with the games and stuff. I barely heard of Lara Croft when the movie came out and I barely got me own computer almost a year ago. Excuse me for not catching on quite as quick as the rest of you.

It installs onto your local disk drive youll find a tombraid file open it and click on the tomb or tomb.exe file this will run the game http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
if you get a blank screen or any other weird nasties you may have to get glidos
download it and unzip it click on the glidos logo to run the game
However in my experience the glide server sometimes freezes between levels and you wont get any videos so when you run it you will get a blank screen. press esc twice to get to the main menu http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

All you need to do after installing VDMSound is to start TOMB.EXE with right click and choose Run with VDMS and you will have the sound in the game http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

The tr installer wizard does install it if your not sure run the wizard again if it says to make a backup then its installed
try pressing f1 in the game this may stop the distortion ;)

OK, I got it to work once (without sound) and now I can't get it to work past the introduction before it freezes me computer (right before opening the passport and choosing destination). HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!! ANYBODY!!!!

Try changing the compatiblity to win 95(if you havent already done this)
right click on the tomb exe file and select properties ;)

I get the movie but it freezes right after it's over. It freezes on the passport page. Can't get anything after that.

Try running it off the disk this is the only way i can get it to work without glidos
Go to my computer and right click on tr1(d:) and select explore change tomb.exe to run as win 95 and click on tomb.exe to play
I dont know how good the graphics are gonna be but its worth a try ;) you wont get any sound either im afraid

Will it run off the disk then? or is it still freezing.
The you might get sound if you set the disk to run
in VDMSound ;)
You shouldnt try to copy the disk it brakes copyright laws

It freezes either way. WAAAAAAA!!!!! It won't work!!! Maybe it'll work someday. My Cd burner isn't working right anyway so I don't even know if it would work. If it did I'd HIGHLY recommend it.

It takes me about at least 10 times to get it to run past the movie to the passport and beyond...once the passport works and I can load the game all works well. But getting there is half the problem. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/violent.gif

Right if you have an antivirus on turn it off while playing the game. ;)

Whut does disabling the anti-virus do for the game?

Antiviruses take up a lot of system resorces. Some games cant handle them running in the background causing them to freeze, just remember to turn it back on after ;)
