View Full Version : temple of xian
This place has been my downfall. In the Temple I am at the spot where you back flip onto the spring and you then automatically get jumped up to the next three. I should be able to get off but I cannot. At the last spring Lara jumps against the wall, knocks back onto the spring goes up again then back onto the spring and dies. I cannot get her to do anything else on the last spring. Looks like she needs to go sideways then grab on, but I cannot get her to do so. GRRRRRRR
Sounds like you need to approach the spring from a different angle from the get go. I know I was getting tossed around and slammed into things there for a while, but then I tried having Lara run at the spring from a different angle, like from the side, rather than head on or jump back onto it. Just to make this clear though, you are passed the part where you spring back over the snowball to trigger the door right? If your in the rooms with all the Yeti and spring boards, just try a different angle, try to run at the board in the direction you want Lara to fly.
Hope I helped.
Okay Jeri, sorry about my bad advice earlier. I obviously didn't know what I was talking about. But it looks like you've gotten past your level, any tips now that I'm finally there? I too keep slamming straight up and seem to make no progress even to the second spring. Please advise.
Okay, yeah, I'm embarrassed to say that I finally know what the Temple of Xian is... Those spring boards were really rough the first time I did them... Well, actually I didn't do them. I quit that level and moved to the next...
But this time I figured it out!!! YEAH!!! :D
What I did was stand facing the first spring board, put Lara's back against the wall, then took a running jump. At that point, release the jump and action button, and just keep down on the forward/run/arrow key. The spring boards will do the work as long as you have created the correct forward momentum.
Just remember to be ready to grasp really quick at the end of the spring boards because you can miss the ledge and have to slide back down and start over again.
