View Full Version : Eidos = incompetent fools
Eidos was awesome when they made TombRaider but I think that it is amazeing that they can't make an update that works for TR2 to work on win 2000!! some webpages says TR2 doesn't need a patch to run and some say it does but none of the goddamn patches work!
It really clever to make people invest in games they can't even play.
GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF EIDOS!!
You make a ton of games but you can't even make one update, you can't be that incompetent.
Yeah, I know how you feel. My dad has a windows 2000 laptop and it didn't work. I had been waiting to play the game all summer!!!!!
Hmm...I played and finished Tomb Raider 2 XP and I had no problems whatsoever. But it does in the README file that Tomb Raider may not run on laptops. but as far as I can tell, except for Tomb Raider 1 and Unfinished Business all other Tomb Raider games worked fine on Windows XP (except that the load time for Tomb Raider 4 was a lot longer), there were no problems in the game play or the audio.
TR2 does work on Win2000. As do all TR games.
Have a read of our Tech Support Page (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tr2/faq.html).
You probably haven't turned on the Win98 Compatibility Layer.
Visit the Tech Support forum if you still experience problems.

chandu83, before you dig up another problem from 2002, think twice please. ;)
I hope infinite_sadness comes back after 3 years to read my reply........
Just because your PC is broke dosen't mean blame EIDOS for it.

You just need to make sure that the Laptop has a truely decent graphics card in it. I found the Toshiba great for gaming, it has an Nvidia card in it.. and I can play the Tomb Raider Series anywhere (well, ok almost anywhere!) http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

Sorry, Joseph, didn't notice how old the original postings were before I posted my response *quietly withdraws*
Due to the age and obsolescence of this thread it has been closed.
OK, time to send this antiquity to the attic http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif
