Well this is weird.
I set my desktop wallpaper to blank, and just had a blue background for a while.
Now when I try to apply an image or wallpaper, it flashes up for second, then goes back to the blue background.
Any ideas?
Does it do this with .bmp images as well, or just a .jpg images, I had a problem once when I could only use .bmp images
Just found this, may help.. < < < CLICK HERE > > > (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;313596)
Just noticed they supposedly fixed this problem in service pack 1, but you seem to be experiencing the same problem... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/privateeye.gif

I have had a similar problem (couldn't use any wallpapers) while using custom windows theme. Maybe try to re-install custom win theme (that is if you have installed one).

bmp or jpg don't work. If I press F5 once applied, then I get a glimpse of the wallpaper, then it just goes back to the blue blank screen again.

Fixed. Reinstalled nVidia drivers.
Most odd. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
