Could anybody help me, please?
I've got a Problem with Running Tomb Raider I under Windows XP on my Notebook. I got the Message "Can not find *LASERLOK* CD_ROM in any drive.",although I've got the original CD. I couldn't find anything about this Problem in the web, nor at Eidos.com, nor at the TR1 FAQ for WIN XP. The ATR Installer works fine, as well as VDMSound. So does anybody know, which Settings I have to do in VDMSound? Or another Solution to get the game started? Perhaps I have to load a DOS-Driver for my CD-Rom-Drive?
Thank you for your ideas.

This is a new one on me. The only information I could find on Laserlok, was HERE (http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=2011&highlight=laserlok&sid=c054c50e45b74b3ee0a8f25230ad8d5c).

Seems it's some kind of copy protection that appeared on some versions of TR1. As you will see in the link, a poster suggests copying the audio tracks and data onto another cd and it runs fine.

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif Great Hint! It works perfect now, even with Glidos!
Thank you very much, Neteru!
I have really a TR1 version with Laserlock Copy-Protection.
I Installed the program with the ATR Installer, then I just substituted the original DOS4GW.exe in my Installation folder with another one from another old DOS Game. Seems really, like the Programmers integrated the under Windows XP failure causing Laserlock Routines in DOS4GW.exe. Wouldn't this be something for the "TR1 under WIN XP" - FAQ?
Thanks again. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
