View Full Version : Keyboard Lock
Anyone know of an application that will lock up the keyboard?
I always leave my pc turned on and connected to the internet, however when I am not using it or out etc, my cat has a tendancy to walk and sit on it. This is quite annoying when I am asleep cause most of the time the pc starts beeping!
A little program that would lock out the keyboard, and only be acvtivated again by pressing an activate box with the mouse would be ideal
Maybe Toddlerkeys (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/toddlerkeys.html) is something for (against) your cat, Henhead? :D
Toddler Keys is a useful tool for parents that allows you to lock your computer keyboard, CD drive doors and power-off button. When the keyboard is used it will display images and play sounds every time a key is pressed, thereby preventing access to the desktop and applications, while adding some entertainment value for the kid. You can select the images and sounds to be used by copying them to the Toddler Keys folder. To exit the locked screen, just type the word QUIT.
I hope you can confirm it is good.
React please!
Thanks joseph, http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif good little program, works well at blocking out the keyboard however the keyboard still beeps if too many keys are pressed at the same time, can this be turned off somehow?
Hope my cat does not work out how to type QUIT http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif
Oh well it's the only freeware program i could find Henhead. I haven't tried it out myself.
Is that your keyboard, or rather your PC's motherboard beeping when too many keys are pressed at the same time?
It’s the motherboard that’s beeping, I could always disconnect the case speaker if needed. The program does the most important job that I wanted it to do. Every time I come back to my pc, he has either opened windows and programs, or sent the odd file to the recycle bin!
Your help is most appreciated
