Problem with the modem

he has a problem with his modem and when he tries to veiw the internet a popup comes on that says

AOL was unable to initiolize the modem

First try a complete reboot and check all connections.

Go to the Control Panel and select System. On the Hardware tab pick Device Manager. You can double click on the modem and there is a Diagnostics Tab. Press on Query Modem and see if it will respond without error?
