Well.....as some of you may know. Some keys on my Laptop Keybaord were damage, probably due to some liquid being spilt onto it via my little sister, lol. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/privateeye.gif

So for over a month now, i have been like. Oh dear :rolleyes:

So the other day i finally rung my supplier and explained the situation, but left out my little sister theory, he he. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif

ALthough upon realising my keyboard was damaged i also bought an American Keybaord from a guy on ebay as it was only around 23 inc P&P. So i snapped it up.

Anyway, today the supplier should of picked up my Laptop for repair, unsuprisingly i get a phone call after waiting in all day for them, around 4 ish tea time. Saying they are going to send someone tomorrow instead and i will get the lLaptop back arounf 30th Dec time.

Huh...taking my baby from over christmas is not an option. A few days MAYBE.. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-3.gif

_--------------------------------------------------------------------------------_

So i decided to read some technical stuff and indulge into replacing my keyboard myself http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif

NOW...some might say "SpArKy NO" as most are aware of my technical difficulties in the past. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-1.gif

But rest assured i was careful. I unscrewed two screw at the rear of my laptop that look as if they are attaching the LCD screen, but in fact are not!

The using a flat head screw driver (Known as Philips in UK i think)

To pry, yes PRY open the top of my Laptop which usually displays shortcut buttons to Email, Internet etc on most!

Then unscrewed the keyboard attached to the inside of the computer, then lifted up the keybdoard, well slided up the keyboard, then carefully lifted up a white plastic thing connecting the leads to the computer from the kyboard. I say thing because i cannot think of a word to describe it, infact what i did was "Click it up" slightly, as if it squised the connections together and i just released it.

Removed the broken keyboard then put the new one in, reversing what i did above.

And can i just say...I WAS SO SCARED.

I dont know why, BUT I WAS. :eek:

All calmed and relaxed, sat on my bed...downloading six episodes of Little Britain, very funny comedy here in the UK.

I am please to say, it all turned out for the best, and YES. I want an award please! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif

The Ballad of Brave Sir Robin

Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot.
He was not afraid to die, O brave Sir Robin!
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin!

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp,
Or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken;
To have his kneecaps split, and his body burned away;
And his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Robin!

His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off
And his pen...
