Hey http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Recently I have started using Excel (MS Office 2003) - only the basics though because there are a couple of things I can't figure out.

One, how do you insert tables in an Excel sheet? I mean, 'real' tables with rows and columns that are visible when you print the document - not the default ones you see while working and that don't appear when you print the sheet. I thought there was going to be an option like in Word - Insert table or sth like that, but I can't find anything  There is an option about inserting a Line or a Column, but again those aren't visible when you print the sheet (I presume they are there just to help you outline your work?)

Two, when I try to erase part of a word or phrase that I have written in a cell, I can't do it. I only got two alternatives: either delete the whole word or phrase and write it again, or overwrite them. Is this normal?

My instinct says that there must be a certain configuration you have to make in order to work as you want, but I have never ever used Excel in the past and it's literally an uncharted area for me.

Thanks in advance http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Hi Nicky i only know the answer to your question Two.
You don't change the words IN their cells. To change a word, select it, and see that it is also in the formula-field. That is where you change the word.

I created a full working online gate ordering system using Excel, fully functioning, for now to make the tables print, you need to outline the cells, "borders", i am just cooking so hold there, and i willl come back to help you further!
