Hi Nikos http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

For simple image editing and converting into other formats, I recommend using Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/). That might also solve your second problem http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

When you select to save in Paint, always change the format in JPG. The paint program of Windows uses its default format, which is BMP. I don't know how how Photobucket works, but I guess it can't accept the BMP files, because this format creates big files.

Even if the photo you open in Paint program is in JPG, when you want to save it, Paint directs you directly to save it in BMP. So, when you save, make sure you change the format to JPG.

LOL Elen, I beat ya to it :D

EDIT - not all versions of Paint allow saving as Jpeg, for instance the version I have doesn't http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Infranview is a good idea, but if you want to change through Paint, here is a pic that may help you:

This sucks :D Well, I haven't seen this before. All the Paint programs I have used give you the option of saving to JPG or even GIF. But GIF is terrible http://www.tombraiderforums.com/forums/graemlins/yuck.gif

Nikos, definately use Irfanview.
You can save as JPEG in Paint, but Irfanview is much more precise and subtle with the formats. A JPEG file can still be very very large. Paint is not very helpful to convert.

So, download and install Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) . << is a link.

OK. In Paint, you change your pictures. Change the greec text into english, just like you are used to. And then save. Doesn't matter, can do as bitmap, or jpeg. The converting will take place in Irfanview.

IrfanView:
1) Open a printscreen or bitmap, or any picture of your choice.
2) Click Image >> Resize/Resample...
3) Set new size as percentage of original: choose 50% and click OK.

Result is, that the image gets smaller in dimensions, and also smaller in size. But It is still much too heavy for on the Internet. I made a printscreen and saved it as TGA file; it is 5.49 MB large. After step 3) of above method, it is 1.37 MB. Just 'Save as...' as a JPEG file, does not make it smaller yet. You also have to decrease the "Quality". And this without making the visual quality bad and ugly.

OK. We have done steps 1), 2) and 3)
Next steps:

4) Click File / Save as...You will see a "Save Picture As ..." menu, with a small "JPEG/GIF save options menu attached to it at one side. And this is the important part.
5) Slide the 'Quality' bar to the left. "How will i know which quality i should set it to?" you may ask yourself. Well, you can't see it because there is no preview option. This is freeware, mind you. But i can tell you that 60 is good quality (also named: "normal" in Photoshop. 80 is "high" (larger) and 100 is "Maximum" of course (no compression).
Sometimes a picture is still a bit too heavy in 60, for instance for in a thread on the forums. When the quality is not too important, 30 is often good enough, especially when people send in an 800 x 600 image, 30 or 40 is the compromise so that the picture is not too heavy but still looking good enough.
But for your pictures you want quality. So you choose 60. To make the loading of the picture visible to people with a slow connection (56k modem ), you can check on 'Save as progressive JPEG'. Click Save.
6)Click File / Open, open the jpeg version you just saved. See that it is 58.45 Kb now. That is pretty small, but still looking good.

Well that's it.
This way, you can try on one picture your ideal settings, that you later apply on a whole series of pictures in one directory, using the 'File Batch Conversion/Rename...' option.

Batch Conversion in Irfanview (the easiest way to resize a complete collection of images to websize):

1)You put a series of printscreen images into one folder. Name: MyPrintscreensOriginal. Whatever.
2)In IrfanView, choose File / Batch Conversion/Rename...
3)In the searchfield choose that folder. If your printscreens are jpeg files, choose jpeg files in file types.
4)Next to the left pane are buttons, choose "select all".
5)Choose an 'Output directory'.
6)Work as: radiobutton the Batch conversion - Rename result files.
7)Output format: JPG - JPEG Format. Click the Options button. Set save quality to 60. Click OK.
8)Check ON 'Use advanced options'. Click button 'Set advanced options'. Now check ON 'RESIZE'. Radiobutton 'Set new size as percentage of original:' and choose 35%. Be sure 'Preserve aspect ratio (propertional) is checked ON, so you only have to fill in 35% in width to see that Height is automatically 35% too. Check on 'Use Resample function (better quality)'. Click OK to close submenu.
9)Back on Batch conversion menu. Click Start button.
10) Admire the result in your Output directory. I resized fullscreen images that were 1.2 MB, to perfect smaller ones of 50 Kb average.
But you don't really see what you will get , beforehand. So, you could start with the 'normal way': resize only one picture.

When there's something picture related, Photoshop is the best, you may want to buy it, it's the best, and also makes it easy for you to do a whole bunch of stuff. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

I think your right, i was thinking of a tour bus maybe! Where they plan these visits, but have no idea of the cost.

Simulation

You can take an open top tour bus. I don't think they are that expensive?

The other alternative is to just buy a one day travel card. You can use all the buses and tube stations on one ticket.

If you plan your route you can walk most of the time...

English hmm, i would like to do something like that also my english is very poor, espeacially grammer.

Wish her all the best from me Sim.

I have some friends at Lincoln Uni. I really wanted to go to Sheffields Hallum but i had no where near enough points.

Lincoln was the most likely for me it was closest but i want to go as far away from where i live as possible. I dont really intend to come back there is nothing here for me really.
