Falling hrough floor.
People half there.
This is what the patch will fix, go here.

soooo..im a little reluctant to download the new patch, has anyone had luck with it fixing the current problems? Trying not to rush into even more problems from a patch that was rushed. it would be typical that the patch created new issues.

The patch fixes the following things (quoted from the "ReadMePatch.rtf" file)...
"
Bugs Fixed and changes in V49:
Save game time are now in local time and not GMT.
Fixed Lightning effects in final battle and hanger.
Added build version to start screen.
Changed conversation to use action key.
Multisampling and post process are no mutually exclusive. (Only possible with DX9.0a or higher)
Stopped ammunition decreasing too fast.
Added key remapping for cycle weapons.
Stopped quick-save from producing empty filenames.
Fixed incorrect lighting on staticly lit animated objects.
Stopped failed controller profile from removing existing profiles.
Added user clip plane support to projected shadows.
"
There is a minor engine-update also: fixes some shadow-problems for instance, and don't forget the Settings again, because there will be some higher values available for some effect (as I remember, Project Shadows can be 12 instead of 6 now)...
And don't worry about the older savegames: they are fully compatible with this new Build-49 version...
Anyway, I think, there will be some more patches for the game, because this time the Title-Screen shows the Build-version. So, I just hope that could mean this too...
I hope this helped a bit...

I think this is why I like the PC version. The system requirements may be high, but you get patches, to help with the various bugs :D
And that is why i have a PC, it's ten times better then Playstation.
The graphics don't look well, the control is weird and wacky and sometimes there are problems.
Computers fix everything, well sort off.
There's this advert i saw on TV about a guy calling for help about his Computer and he looks worried, when they zoomed to his Computer, the monitor was hit with a hammer and it's burning inside.
Ever get the feeling you wanna do that to your PC sometimes.

Oh yeah that happens occasionally. I have a mental picture of that duck that has a hammer in his hand and it says, "hit any key to continue."

A couple of years ago I saw a tv programme which partly dealt with the frustration, to put it mildly ;) that you sometimes get. The advice was to use diskettes - deformable, can be thrown in the wall etc and are much cheaper to wreck than a computer! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I always thought it was your signature. And since they are disabled you just automatically pasted it into your message.

sounds all good to me, downloading now - see how much it really helps.
ya know i always thought the GMT savetime problem was cause i bought my copy when i visited my mom (that and it was cheaper in the UK than the States hehee)
however the fixxes seem pretty minor, personally i'd love to see a bug diary from Core - see what they're actually working on.

Finnish Gamer, You're absolutely right, but actually You didn't mention anything new and interesting thing about the patch. So, back to ontopic then...
...And if anyone is interesting in twin pistols, then try this command line with the new patch: "C:\Program Files\Eidos Interactive\TRAOD\bin\TRAOD.exe" -godmode - "Sets the power ups to level 10 and gives a selection of guns and ammo.". So, we can get twin pistols easily for instance... Naturally, the path for 'TRAOD,exe' depends on where the game was installed...
The above thing is just an example. Because V49 is not only a patch what fixes some things; it allows some more things too. More of them are in the 'ReadMePatch.rtf' file...
SYS "Whew! That girl has got one bad attitude."
Yeah, on topic now... I really think the game is buggy. In Cafe Metro the bartender has a totally black face... this got fixed when I updated graphics drivers...
Lara won't always move where I want him to move, there's a long delay before anything happens after hitting a button (well, not always, but sometimes like drawing and holstering weapons causes problems...
Lara won't start running, she walks a few steps and then starts running... I liked the old way better...
In the tunnels under the graveyard in Paris (don't recall the name of the level) I saw a rat that was jumping, trying to run through a wall (which it couldn't do, of course). What was worst about this was that the rat was underwater, in the bottom of a pool, and running like no water there...
Many other severe bugs as well, but those above are, I believe, the most irritating ones...
