I take back all the nice things that I said about you....The updated driver solves the crashing problems but my graphics are weird. Gates, grates, bridges, and buttons seem to move with me instead of staying put. I can even walk half way through some walls! So far I have been unable to adjust the video settings to get the graphics like they should be....any ideas?

Gulp. Success, then failure, this is not good. Back to the drawing board. Play around with the setup options like we originally did. What this does suggest it that perhaps your card "might" not be compatible with Direct X, as the crashing had given away to environmental problems within the game.

I'll go back to MS again and start trawling through their documents.

Any ideas yet? I lowered resolution, turned off bilenear filtering, changed texture depth to 16 bit wih 4 thousand-whatever-it-was. So far, none of this seems to work. Is there a different driver I should use? Can I download one or will I have to purchase a new video card? Have any other Compaq users had a similar problem? I bought this really expensive machine off the shelf and I can't believe no one else with this same setup has contacted you...

Hi. I've have emailed MS Support to determine whether or not your card is supported by DX. I would say that the majority of the problems arising from booting out are resolved by updating your drivers. I'll be as quick as I can in resolving this.
