Hi can anyone help?

Am currently running tomb raider the last revelation on a pentium II 500 with 128 megs ram voodoo banshee graphics and soundblaster sound card. The game keeps freezing. Only a reset sorts it.(have to wait for scandisk each time)

If anyone can help would appreciate it.

Fred.

What is the make and model of your video card ? and what o/s are you running. First thing is to establish whether or not you are using the latest drivers for your card.
Also note that TLR had some level errors, and Eidos released a patch to combat these. You can download that here (www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tr4/) but please read the text file first.

Hi
Thanks for your prompt reply

My video card is a Voodoo Banshee made by Innovision. Am running Windows ME.
Have downloaded the patch, but didnt like the idea of not being able to use my saved game files once i have installed the patch.

The part about not being able to import previously saved game states is not conclusive, and if this happens, you can easily install the original game back on to your system without loosing your saves.

Pop over to this site (http://www.inno3d.com) and tell me if this is the logo on your vid. card box (This company makes the Innovision graphics cards, but mentions no Banshee version, if you recognise the logo though, at least I know if I'm on the right track)

here you go:
http://www.ivmm.com/dlpage.htm#BANSHEE

Find you card there and download the latest Banshee ME drivers. Then reboot your machine and return to this thread with the results. As mentioned in my previous post, it still might be worth trying the TLR fix if the problem persists, and the above advice is on the asumption that your system does meet the recommended specs for the game.

Good luck!

Hello again,

Went to the site. There are no specific drivers for windows ME.So tried to download the drivers for windows98 forpci.
Unfortunately kept getting message error file does not exist.Tried several times.

My pc exceeds the min requirements for TLR,it used to run fine on my old system(p200 with only 32 megs of ram and same graphics card)

Thanks very much for your help anyway.
