downloaded game demo.how do i start?

I am new to computers(got one this christmas) and I am just learning how this machine works. I have just downloaded(?) a tombraider game sample from this site and I have no idea how to start to play it. Help?

If you downloaded a "zip" file, you will need winzip to open the archive. Go to www.winzip.com (http://www.winzip.com) and download their shareware version. Install (doubleclick on the file and follow on-screen instructions after you have downloaded it) then go into Windows Explorer and find the Tomb Raider demo you downloaded from us.

Then doubleclick on this, and it will open the archive (zipping files is a form of compression for storage). Simply extract using Winzip's step-by-step wizard and then run the "setup.exe" file that is extracted from the zip archive.

If, however, you did not download a zip file but rather an executable (search the file you downloaded and it the icon is a computer terminal, this is an executable) then simply double click on the file and it will install, placing a shortcut on your start menu.

Then direct your mouse to the newly placed start-menu shortcut and enjoy!

Thank you for your help. It seems though, that I will have to re-download the demo as I have inadvertently erased the "zip" file you mentioned. I will now give it another go. Thanks again.
