I have tried installing Tomb4, but I receive an error message- Tomb4 caused an invalid page fault in module TOMB4.EXE at 0167:00470029. It won't let us play the game, I have recently updated to DirectX 8.0A. DirectX displays, no problems found in all categories. I have also installed the patch.

I have emailed tech. support, it has been 6 days, and I still haven't heard from them.

We've played Tomb4 before, it's been about 6 months since my daughters completed it, now they want to play it again.

I believe I had this problem when we first bought the game over a year ago, but, we don't remember what we did to correct the problem. (that's what happens when you get old and have children) :0)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Then, maybe, my 6 1/2 year old daughter will get off my case. THANKS!!!

HptRdsHRZRs. tlr comes with directx 6.0 and was thus testing with that version. firstly, i would suggest updating your video card drivers to the latest version. if your identify your card here, i'll check for the latest version.

HptRdsHRZRs. going to need more than that. Go to DESKTOP, right mouse click, and select PROPERTIES, then select the top tab named SETTINGS. You card will be listed there. Return to this thread with the exact text that's written there.

Good luck.

HptRdsHRZRs. still need more info, although I have a feeling that your card may have only 2mb vid. memory which might be a prob.

ok, go to windows explorer (the file manager, not the web browser) and then browse to your "Program Files" directory, then browse into "Direct X"

From there, into "setup" and there should be a file there called "DxDiag" which is in fact a short cut.

Double click on this, and a Direct diagnostic window will pop up. Browse to the "Video" section and identify the card in more detail there, then back to this thread..
