FMV-- NO SOUND

I'm running TR1 on XP and I tried all the patches Bokkie suggested and it helped out a great deal. However, during the FMV scenes I don't get any sound. Durig the "movies" and gameplay, the sound works fine and then it seems to turn off at an FMV. Please help.

Also (and this is less important) during the movies the graphics look very "pixel-y". Good- but brpken into boxes.

wu-man, right click on My Computer and choose Manage. In computer management, click on Device Manager (in the left tree). On the right side, double click on DVD/CD-ROM drives, double click on your DVD/CD-ROM drive, go to Properties and uncheck Enable Digital CD Audio for this CD-ROM device checkbox.

If you still can not hear FMV sounds, make sure that you have CD-audio cable connected to your audio card.

Thanks for the response. I tried that but still no sound. How do you check to see if an audio cable is attached to the audio card?

Just put some Audio CD in the CD-ROM drive where you unchecked Digital CD Audio. If you can hear the music, then you have the audio cable http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I've played music CD's several times. Do you have any idea what else might be causing the problem?
