according to the eidos forum list, someone has posted that lara will be starting the game in a courtyard(i think at night) WEAPONLESS and needs to find objects as weapons to escape from enemies. Anyone dissapointed?
There *might* still be a house seperated from the main game, although probably there won't...
Actualy she is starting in the Backstreets of Paris.Lara will be weaponless and she will have to talk to people and gather items. After that u r in the training level where u start in courtyard then Lara will have to explore the big level[environment artworks] and practise
and solve a movable block puzzle to escape the level and start the adventure in the Louvre...

ok listen, core said that the game wont be available online because they dont want to force the fans to go online but they didnt ignore the ability of level downloads on the net. so it looks to me that this will either be a bonus level or an availible level for download but i really believe its gonna be released online or in the game in the future. it just has to. core cant forget or ignore it. the entire tomb raider chronicles game took place there. but i really think its gonna happen guys. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
I`ve seen screenshots of one location and in some of the screens she is wearing them and in the others she is not.Like here in the Louvre:
no sunglasses:

with sunglasses:

It looks like that the sunglasses will be an item in ur inventory wich can be equiped anytime u want. The same is in the training level and the Backstreets of paris level[jean type outfit] but in Strahov i dont think.
Ok, but if we have the sunglasses (one word this time :D ) in the inventory screen and have the opportunity to equip them, we won't have the chance to see her as most of the time we see Lara from behind. This makes me wonder how did they took these screen shots (you know, indirectly side). Were these screen shots by FMV scenes? If so, we can't call them screen shots...

that would be so pointless. what would be the point of that. wat would they be good for. it really makes no sence unless its used for a different camera angle. maybe with glasses mean the camera is more movie like and is in set possitions and without the glasses the camera stays behind you like normal tomb raider. just a thought. other than that it would be stupid to have them in the inventory
In Angel of Drakness there will be a free look botton [PS2 the analog sticks i think].See tombraider_e3_01.mov and tombraider_e3_02.mov
But i dont know what the sunglasses will be used for.She looks cool with them.
So u can be sure the screenshots r not taken from FMVs!!!
Months ago I read that we would have control over the angles we see Lara from, it was just a rumour but it would explain the screenshots.
The sunglasses and controling over the angles are the least. I believe that AOD will have many many many knew features. Even the way Lara walks or run will be different.
Do you know on what I'm nervous? The date of release. It will not be the same for all countries... You lucky tlr online... I'm sure you'll be the first one here who will first see the game completed. I can also say that you have already played-tested a level on your PC or PS2... LOL...
The thing thats been bothering me is that Eidos and Core Design maby r going to release the game December.I think that they will use AOD and release it for Cristmas to earn more money.
Release dates for AOD:
Amazon.com: November 08
Gamespot.com : November 12
......: November 16
I hope it will be November!!!
Until then, we will see and other dates of release. I hope it will be on November too. But we don't know the exact day cause both CORE&EIDOS haven't said something spesific. Just towards the end of 2002 (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tng/press.html)
Yes, she'll be different, her moves will be more natural and according to what they say she will be quite real… while breading and stuff like that… but I noticed another strange thing, why is she only holding one of the two pistols in some of the screenshots??? There will be so many different and new things in this game I think we’ll have to relearn every thing about how to control her…. I can’t wait for the game to come out… when is the demo supposed to be released???
Hmmm... Demo??? I thought there won't be a demo... Ok, don't panic... Maybe I'm wrong...

i don't think she's holding a pistol in that screenshot, i think it looks like a desert eagle.
There won't be a demo?!?!?!?!?!?! They always release a demo… why not this time???
It was a good way of testing the game, to make sure it would run properly… I really, really hope you’re wrong…
I don’t think it looks like a desert eagle, besides if it were why would be another one in the right holster?! That must be pistol… oh, and another thing, they created everything to be very realistic, right? So why don’t the guns have holes for the bullets to come out? That is not very realistic, unless that is just for the PS2, which I doubt it…
