Adrian:
"There's a massive sting in that tail to the game. Eckhardt met the last Nephilim in the 1300's, who told him that we need somebody to go out, we've dying and they have put themselves into an ark that's hidden - and that's the second game - we need somebody to go out and bring back our race. The Nephilim did a deal with Eckhardt, the deal was that they'd give him longevity of life if he went on a took the cause and carry on what they were trying to do. So Eckhardt actually met a Nephilim back then.

He actually double-crossed them in 1442; he tried to stitch them up, and they hadn't fully gone, they were still here, so they threw him into a pit that was hell like. That's ware he stayed until 1945 which was a castle in Germany called Castle Kriegler, the castle was bombed and he escaped. So he's been back among the population since 1945. He has now abandoned the idea of bringing back the Nephilim and getting a pat on the head. He now wants to be the head honcho of the Cabal and the Nephilim and become like them. The Cabal as an organisation have what's known as the Sleeper, a sleeping Nephilim. They realise that if they get the Obscura painting and perform a ceremony they'll bring Nephilim back.

What you don't realise is a twist right at the end of The Angel of Darkness, when Lara confronts Eckhardt and they have a bit of a showdown. Lara is about to kill him by putting some shards into him. Karel, Eckhardt's right-hand man who runs the Cabal organisation, will then jump out of the shadows and actually kill Eckhardt. Lara talks to Karel, questioning what he's just done. Then he shows himself to Lara, showing that his the Nephilim. He says you're all in trouble because I've been manipulating the whole system. All the way through I've been manipulating Eckhardt, and the Cabal, I've been manipulating you. And in actual fact, you all believe Eckhardt killed Von Croy. It wasn't, it was Karel that killed him."

--------------------------

Alright, most of this I understand. But bits and pieces are just way out of my understanding. If the Nephilim promised him longetivity of life, how come he had to take parts from his victims bodies to prolong his life? Did he bring the organs back to the Nephilim and they would do something to help him?

--------------------------

Adrian:
"The last time you see Kurtis he's collapsed on the floor, injured. He's being considered for the second game and could be a really big part of it, but ... if he stiffs and people really hate him, potentially he could be dead. I hope not though, because there's already a part written for him in the second and third games. That's why Lara collects Kurtis' Chirugai weapon at the end of The Angel of Darkness. The give-away is that it glows, showing that he still has power and so that Kurtis could be alive.

Will Lara get to him in time? You'll have to wait and find out! In the second game Lara goes to the Nephilim stronghold under Cappadocia. The whole game is under Turkey in Cappadocia. Lara finds some secret passage and that's where the Nephilim race were, that was their stronghold. She's given Karel everything he needs, so he's gone back there and is starting something that Lara has to stop.

We never really wanted to reveal the Nephilim in their true form. We showed the Sleeper, but that's as much as we ever wanted to show of them. What we're actually doing now for the second game is designing the whole Nephilim race: what do Nephilim look like?"

-------------------------

The wound that Kurtis got was through the middle. It would take a miracle to miss the liver, and he must have ruptured at least one kidney.
So how are they going to explain that (if Crystal decides to use the same storyline)? I mean, could Kurtis, with such a bad injury, really pull himself out of there and to a hospital? Will they set the next game right after Angel of Darkness, when Lara finds him?
He has such a fanbase, they can't just kill him off. That would be a stupid move. There are so many people out there that would be horrified. And to just leave him be, without an explanation as to where he went...that would be an even more stupid move.

Anything confuse any of you? (No stabs at 'Jerkis', as you've so callowly taken to calling him. Call him Kurtis, thanks.)

"Fanbase". I love you.

Well, i was wondering the same - HOW Kurtis would survive? and WHERE in the world did he go? Because you don't see him in the ending.. That's why we have so many fics, and many theories, and maybe some of them may be true, so.. Maybe he can -uhhh- 'cure' himself or something, because he knows Lux Veritatis powers, no? Kurtis *is* trained.. oh well. It's gonna be a loooooooong year..

come on guys... you cant just kill kurtis .... hes got all... i mean he got every thing lara needs... she got her attitud... and as we could see he is all the contrary (a refreshing attitud, he can smile... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ).... he is inteligent... got his own moves.... and got reasons to fight for... he and her are two faces from a same coin.... i have been especting a long ...lonnnnnnnnng time to see lara working with a friend ...some one she can fight with but not kill, some one who can play with her.... and some one who can show the world that lara got feelings... some one to defend... (in case as it is right now)if the other party is injured....

and must of all... becouse we the cubans fans....at least the lot of people i know, think that kurtis trent have earned its place with lara...as a friend... as an explorer, a demon hunter.. or even a posible affair...

PS: i dont mean her to marry him .... just an adventure... maybe only plays.... just like scully and mulder from the x files...

i think that eckhardt had to take the organs and prolong his life because the Neplim had revoked, for the most part, his long life after the betrayal. now alot of you make be thinking why would the organs make any difference? the glove. the glove he used for alchemy, he used his alchemy to prolong his life. does this make sense?

Umm...how would alchemy prolong his life? I mean, it's only the study and sometimes creation of metals.
Hey FANatic! It's me, Lara!
