I completed AOD so i started again but ages ago when i first started it first time round I read something about a forbidden area in the Parisian back streets level (i think thats right) and I was wondering if it even exists and, if it does, how do you get there. :D

Hi! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Yes, the forbidden area exists, it's not an urban legend http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif :D

There are a few ways to get there; if you are a PC player, one way is to download and install the TRAOD Startup Configuration Utility (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tng/updates/html) - once you install it, open the program and tick the Debug Keys option. This way, you will have unlocked the debug commands of the game. Click OK to start, and when the level loads, press the B key and see Lara flying through walls and locked doors.

This way you can access areas that normally you can't, and explore around the wasted training area of PB http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Yay it was true. What if I'm not a pc player though?

here's the playstation way to do it.

start new game - play level all the way through to beginning of 'Derelict apartment block.' then tap in level select cheat, which is:

press pause, press and hold L1 + R2 + Down + Triangle. Release all buttons then quickly press Circle, Up, Square, Triangle, Right, Down.

doesn't always work first time, keep trying it till you get your options menu. choose 'level select' and hit PARIS1.

This takes u back to the beginning of Parisian backstreets. Play the level through to the end. When you get to the climbing down the ladder bit at the end, the cutscene won't trigger and you'll be able to explore all the unfinished / "secret" areas.

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif Cheers. The smilies in the posts don't animate for me. I saw them animated the other day on another pc though. Can anyone suggest why?
