View Full Version : aquatic research facility- swimming monster
I am at the end of the aquatic level and I just lowered the blood food into the water for the monster that is swimming around, but he is still coming after me. I can't do any of the things I need to because he keeps killing me. any ideas? Thanks!

If you have lowered the food bucket in the water, the Leviathan should be busy eating it, leaving Lara alone. I don't know what happened and he keeps chasing you, but it's not impossible to finish the level even with the fish around. The first time I played the game, I did not even lower the food bucket (I was too confused!!! :confused: ) and did everything I had to do underwater with no particular problems. If you don't have a previous save, try just to ignore the fish! :cool:
The monster kills you? I dont know if its any kind of bug, but in the PC game the monster does nothing to Lara's health. It just follows and sometimes moves Lara.
That's right ... i've been playing the PC game and that monster does nothing, he's such a bug!
It's a clone of another one found at the Biological research facility, remember when u slide down the water and swim to climb up the stairs? yes, they r harmless creatures!

The deal is to throw the chum in the water so that the fish won't bother with you. On the PS2, you may activate a bug and the fish still bothers with you. On the PC it doesn't bother from the beginning of the level. That's why you can skip a big part of the level and end it early.

You know, when I first played the game, I accidentally fell into the water. I saw the fish and I was shocked. I tried to get the *ahem* out of there. On my try to find a ladder or a low ledge, the fish had come twice towards me. I noticed that it was opening it's mouth and I wasn't getting hurt. Then I stayed still and I was laughing looking the fish attacking me. I kept being intact of course.

hehe the same has happened to me http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif but i was quick thinking, lol http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif the fishthing was far away from me but it was getting closer very fast. i had to do something but i coulndt see any ladders around... then i noticed a hole on the bottom http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/clown.gif so i just quickly swam into it... and boom - the next level! i laughed at first but then i thought "hold on, that level was too short... something's wrong..". so i loaded the savegame and explored the area.. decided to redo everything the way CORE wanted me to ;)
well i was about to jump into the water and tried to look for the fish, i couldnt see it anywhere, then i noticed it was swiming in the air!!! that was quite funny at the time. and made it a little easier!!
Well the opposite happened to me, it killed me everytime, even when the food dropped, so i had to use my tomb raider skills and try and get passed it as well as pull the leavers.
NOT AN EASY TASK!
I was on PS2 by the way.

You can swim CIRCLEZ around that sucker and not get hurt... IF You know where You're going and don't waste time goofing around!

Hi Hoffer! I had a prob wi this aswell on the PS2, you can kill the fish though, if yu've got the Scorpion X or whatever that gun is, some well aimed shots should get rid of it! When you've killed it, it will throw a little fit then disappear and then the waters are clear and free for swimmin' in! Hope that helps!

Lucy i did the exact same thing wit the scorpion X that gun is usefun specially if u got a ps2 bug that makes it work underwater http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif :confused:
I have the PS2 version, what I did was just swim in the bottom of the pool. It works sometimes so it would be best to save before attempting this. This way the leviathan cant get you when your'e swimming in the bottom.

I played the PC version, the fish thing didnt bother me, infact, i didnt even notice it until jut before i finished the level!
Im playing my Ps2 version now, so i guess i'll see the difference soon enough ;)
