Coastal Ruins Keys

After having killed the skeletons, I've gone to the gate to try and open it with no success. I definitely picked them up in the last level. They are not on my equipment list. Can you help please?

Coastal Ruins (1) (Level 15) contains only one key, that which must be teased from the cage using the broom handle and the hook, then a sole gate to finish the level. Are you sure this is the level you are on ?
If you are on Catacombs (Level 16), use the Crow Bar on the gate.
