Simple problem plz help...

ok i have the pc version of TLR and i cant save! i get to the save screen and i use the action button or enter and all it does is disappear and not save..it sez that all of the slots are empty!! also where do i have to unzip the save files to, so that they will work in the game? please help soon this is very frustrating!!!

I'm stumped... All I can think to do is un-install and then re-install the game.
