I don't think they should of changed the game that much like they have. (or atleast how I heard and read how much it was going to change.) The graphics seem better but I don't like the idea of her changing. (not only the way she looks, but they said she was going to act different or something.)
What do you guys think? :mad:
WOW you read my mind.i do think they shoud't change the game that much but maybe that is goingt o be lara in 10 years or something.at least we all know the game is going to be cool.
I love the way lara looks now. EG: tr 4#
and the origional lara is and will alway's be

I totaly agree with you.They shouldn't have changed her.Ever since I heard about the change I have been dreading the game coming out.Mainly because I'm worried how much they have chaged her.I'm getting it but they shouldn't have changed her.
I've seen 2 Lara's from tng.The one in the fmv clip you can get in the special features in trc look almost chinese! And the Lara that is in the art section, looks british.Which one is it!?

I she is going to look more like the one in the FMV. The concept art in Chronicles looks (I agree, looks British) but she was'nt like that before. She was strong, but not like that. :(
I think any change will look weird untill we get use to it.
People are sranger when your a stranger people look ugly when your alone............

What are they going to do to Lara? We love her the way she is! She doesn't need a makeover or anything.
What are these "darker themes" going to do? Make her a criminal? Breaking into/vandalizing the Museé de Louvre sounds worse than anything she's ever done to date. She's an adventurer, not a crook. Doesn't sound like there will be many tombs in this game :(.
What about Curtis (or is it Carlos?). How could he possibly have any of the agility Lara has? He couldn't. After all, that's why they created a female character for TR in the first place.
I'm counting the days we have left of Lara as we know her.

It is Curtis and I don't like these "Darker Themed" ideas anymore then you do. Is'nt she supposed to stand up for what is right? I don't think she vandalized the mueseum, she just had to break into it after she was framed for something. But what is it that I hear about her being found in the gutter while taking drugs or something. I mean, if thats true, then I think thats stupid. The people at Core think it's time to let Lara "interact" more with other characters, thats why they are making Curtis. (not Carlos) They also think that thias game will be very good. (they said it in the special feature section of the Tomb Raider DVD)
Well anyway, I still think they should of left it the way it was. The only good idea I think they had was that now, she's supposed to be more life-like. If she climbs or sprints a lot, then she will get better at that one thing. I also heard something like she could break a leg and look tires when you've ran a lot. That's the only thing i'm looking foward to right now. :D
But you never know, maybe it wont be such a big or bad change after all... :eek:
I am hopeing that lara will be a little better at hand to hand combat EG: marcial arts like in the beginning of the latest game( the tittle screen of tombraider chronicles, May be a sneek peek but you know how tite lipped thay are.

Oh, ok, I know what your talking about. I think it looks cool when she killes people without guns. (like when she jumped on the cyborg.) :D
May be there will be more hand to hand in TNG
and not just in cut sceins

Possibly, or it would justr mean she might not be able to go everywhere with her guns. In the NG FMV, it looks like she can't shoot the people, she just runs away from them. I think she might have to leave her guns behind sometimes. I hope she still has unlimited ammo though... :D
I hope thay will keep the unlimited ammo as well as giving us the new hand to hand.
But you never know.

Well, they say that they are just setting aside the TOMB raiding for awhile, so we can do some city raiding. they will probably see how well people like this game, and if the feedback on this kind of gameplay is good, then they may keep makin them, or if its bad, go back to raiding tombs, they wouldnt want to loose any money. Just give it a chance, if no one likes it they will go back to raiding tombs probably.
But, as far as the hand to hand combat, i LOVE it, i have always wantes to jus punch out somebody instead of using my guns, but i still want guns too. I hate when you are playin a good game that only uses weapons, Lara is strong so she can kick some ass! I loved the hand to hand in the intro scenes at the main menu of trc. I thought it was briliant. And the new lara look isnt really all that bad, her face just looks a little more narrow to me, but i think i still liked the other better, but ill still like the new lara too.

I like the thingie she did in Tthe beginning in Chronicles also...They should also let her tackle people..I would also like her to have a wide selection of guns...

Well, she does sorta kill people a lot so she can take some artifact for her private collection. But we love her all the same :D

I think they said something about her being found in a gutter but the drugs bit is just speculation based on that. She was probably just beaten up

Nah, I doubt it. Hand-to-hand combat would be advantageous not only because of the ammo problem but also because it's more silent and you can just knock people out if you need them alive for some reason. I like the idea of unarmed combat, maybe wee should start a sorta petition telling Core to include it in NG
