hi im new here at the forum. one of the reasons i joined was to voice my opinions on everything i love and hate about tomb raider.i mostly love everything so dont panic.lol

on my firt topic ever i just wanted to say that i have a feeling im not goig to like tomb raider next generation but only cuz it has lara in it and i love all things tomb raider. but in order to really make tomb raider fans happy they should have left her in the jungles deserts and all exotic locations. thats what i play tomb raider for.i dont want to be stuck in these dark and scary cities. hey i live in new york i can get that whenever i want. i play tomb raider to get away from it all.not to be emerged in what i already and drowning in. i want a real adventure that i cant usually get from real life.i liked to bright and luminating places like the indian jungle apposed to the dark locations such as the haunted islands with young lara in tomb raider chronicles. so i just hope in future games they pu her in like peru or something.... hey thats a prety good idea. i just hope its not gonna be so dark and gloomy forever and they get some comon scense.they said in the official playstation magazine that it would have been so easy for them to place lara in front o a temple at the beginning of the game. but to tell u the truth i would have enjoyed that. so if it makes me happy, and its easy ... why not use it. they always look for the more complex way to do things when the answer is right in front of them. am i the only one wo thinks the bright way to go is the right way to go????? :(

I agree with you completely, It's much more enjoyable when it's bright and breezy, also you can find things a lot easier and you can see what's coming most of the time, without having a heart attack at something jumping out at you in the dark. ;) :D

YES!That's EXACTLY what frightens me in TR games. When things jump out out you and you can't see them.Like that Sea Hag in Chronicles. In TLR I always had my grenade launcher out so nothing could get me!

Although its not exactly gonna be sunny and happy like i would have hoped, i do like the idea of being able to do whatever you want. in a recent interview a member of core stated "if lara wants to jump out of a window she can do so". thats exactly how imagined the perfect tomb raider (or videogame)to be. another thing that gets me excited about trng is that theres not going to be one set rout to take. this always narrowed the adventure part of the adventure game down. there are goin to be more options to accoplis what u want to do. this way i will be able to play a level over and over and over again and find something new every time i play it,not to mention the way we can build up her skills with how much we use that particular skill, but thats a whole new subject.lol but i reeeaaaaaaalllllllllly cant wait for it to come out. good or bad its still lara and im sticking to her http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

You live in New York and don't like Lara being in Paris, obviously. But have you thought that maybe somebody lives in an Indian Jungle and hates seeing Lara there all the time...

Ahhhhh, it's something to think about. Lara should be on the Moon.

Werner,
Do you think you can build a Rocket to get her there?
See you at Area 51! :D

u have a good point but i doubt peope in the indian jungle go to look for adventure in a tomb raider game. but i think ur on to something with the whole space thing. it sounds pretty cool and it would be really fun to control, bouncing around the moon. and that will give core the excuse to give her a space gun. lol. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
