I dunno, it's kind of a 50/50 split..

I would like him to stay because I consider his actual character really cool but because of the mess they made of him on screen, I would like to see him go as well..

I suppose Lara does travel best alone.

Personally I don't mind too much about Kurt. I like him as a character, and he has lots of elements that could be exploited further, though.

I think the best thing they could do so that both sides (haters and fans) are pleased would be giving him a game of his own and leaving him out of TR.

I want him to come back for the story's sake, and he was a cool character.

But I love Lara, and she should be the 90% focus of the game, kinda like aod-give kurt a smaller part.l

The whole thing I like about TR is that it's a women (Not being sexist in anyway here!) They moved away from the notorious male figure. Also, travelling alone gives the game a better sense of adventure in my view.

When there's only one leading character from beginning to end, you get to see how, along with the adventure, the character develops and changes. There is one 'pace', one 'rhythm' that keeps the story going. Kurtis's part in AOD, although it actually served the plot, was a brief parenthesis in the whole story, and seemed more like an 'interlude', a stand-alone two-parted episode (three parted if you count the dreaded Boaz level); in fact it's as if those parts belong to a different game...

I repeat that I do like Kurtis as a character; I wouldn't mind seeing him as a guest in a future TR game, but him being the leading character in a game on his own would be much better, imho.

Yes..Also, the way they ended ADO..It seems as though something romantic between Lara and Kurtis is likely to happen in the future.

I want Kurtis to stay in the Tomb Raider games. Maybe you don't get to play him in the next Tomb Raider game, but he's there in cutscenes and whatnot. Also, as I've stated on another thread before, it would only be fair to give Lara some parts in his game when he gets one.

i'd say no, because I just like Tomb Raider as Tomb Raider was... With a guy in it it's just not the same. The whole Tomb Raider feeling is gone now.

I'm not impressed with Kurtis and I would like to see the end of him. However, is this just a male thing. We like to think of Lara as our own personal hero and resent this other guy getting in on the act. von Croy was no problem, being a pensioner. I seems like mainly the female want him on board. Anybody care to do an analysis.
Personally, I preferred Lara adventuring on her own and recruiting any help along the way, as and when required, as in TR4.

Everyone has there own opinion, but I don't feel that Kurtis replaced Lara in any way. He was in is for 2 levels, which were short and farely easy. He was just a side story to keep it going.

Kurtis was OK in TRAOD, but I prefer playing with Lara. In every game I play I choose the female character, or I just play games with female characters, I don't like playing with a guy http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I also thing that a love affair will mess everything. I would not like to mix sex and Tomb Raider, people :(

Definitely it would be better if Kurtis was a NPC.

I definately think Kurtis should come back. I'm not sure I'd want him as a playable character but by putting him in the story line you've got an awful lot of potential!

I tend to agree a little with every one here :confused: May be he should be back in TR7 to finish the storyline, not as a playable character though.
Imagine they're both repeling into the mouth of a volcano to extract an ancient crystal required to be placed into that black monolith out of 2001 a Space Odyssey to repair it before it self destructs and with it the universe. Kurtis's rope snaps, as they were both escaping the volcanic raptures, Lara quickly grasps him by the hand to save his fall. Silently they gaze into each other eyes but for a few seconds (pause) as Kurtis prepares to hands over the crystal knowing to well time is running thin. He propels it towards her forcing her to release her grip on him as she catches the crystal, and watches him fall vanishing into the distance. She turns her head to face the sky, a tear runs down her cheek as she reflects on the memories of him and begins to realizes that she and she alone must carry on to rescue the world. The rest leave to your imagination.......
How fitting a way for him to go, but he's gotta GO!

I can't remember who mentioned may be there should be an offshoot of TR type for him to star in for those who like him?

I think the best solution is to have the player choose who they gonna play, Lara or Kurtis. Something like KotOR for example or from the beginning of the game!
But before that, Kurtis must have a reformation first as regards appearance, physiques which I think Crystal Dynamics will do that. Let's wait and see...

The changes want to be real good. Its a big gamble otherwise.
