Hello! It’s my first topic in this area of the forum. I have been a fan of the tomb raider games since the second one. And I still believe it’s the best one. I started the third one but I never got to finish it… the last revelation was ok. I lost the story in the chronicles. I never got to finish that either.
What was about the artifact, and why was it small? And I am shamed to say but I am still working on the angel of darkness… I have stuck in the very beginning where she is in a small shop or something I don’t remember exactly and she finds the body of a man and she sees the evil weirdo. Then she opens a door with a code she found in the dead guys pocket after there is this big explosion and I never get save out of it… can you tell me f there is another way out of that place?
I have borrowed the first game from a friend but he got it back before I finished it. I want to ask. In all the games together in which places has she traveled and which artifact has she collect. I also wanna know when the new tomb raider game will be released and if you guys know anything about it. I have been away from the games for a while because I was into the movies and I am lost!!! Please, anyone can help me?

A good way is this: as soon as you jump down the tube, turn Lara immediately towards the exit (the camera view changes, but you can still control her) and start running adding jumps during your run. Eventually, you will do it.

TR4: Cambodia (flash back), Egypt (actual time). Lara must find the pieces that make up Horus's armour, then descend down the Great Pyramid in order to lock up the mean God Seth who wants to take over the world.
The Times Exclusive (TR4 add-on level): Egypt again. Lara finds the Mask of Tutankhamun.
TR5: Rome, A russian submarine base, A haunted island near Ireland, Von Croy's Headquarters. These are four distinct adventures that Lara had in various points in her past. After the end of TR4, she is presumed dead, and the day of her funeral her friends gather at her mansion and remember those adventures of hers. She found the Philosopher's Stone, The Spear of Destiny and the Iris artifact.
The Angel of Darkness: Paris, Prague. Lara must find two Obscura Paintings and team up with a mysterious stranger in order to stop a paranoid guy from destroying the world.

I think you´ve never seen the other exit for the room in the pawshop (i didn´t either the first time and I tried to escape the same way I enter there). Before enter the room with the items locked with passcode, at the left of the metalic (locked) door is an exit (Lara, notice it when se approach there). So, now you know where to go after the the bomb activate and the time runs out. You know how to do the rest. An advice to save a little time is to pick up the last item near the switch (on the right, facing with the door on the back) that opens (again) the door form inside and position Lara in front of it and ready before the movie clip that shows the bomb, so after it you can push inmediatly the switch, run for the exit... and don´t even waste your time searching in the boxes, the time is too short. I knew that but this guy seems to be traped inside of the room since he/she explains nothing more than entering the code, and next the explosion. It was just for being more explicit. And yes, when i tried to escape the same way i enter the explosion reaches me soon... so the second time i explore the whole room and find the trapdoor http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Hey thank you very much everybody. Thought I still can’t do it. I know about the “secret” exit. That’s where the bomb always gets me. I am sorry. I didn’t explain my problem that well… thanks for the information on the games Nicky.

Θα ήθελα πάρα πολύ να ακούσω τις απόψεις σου πάνω στις ταινίες. Είμαι περίεργος να ακούσω τη γυναικεία άποψη για τη Lara. Γιατί η αδελφή μου μόνη να θάβει μόνο ξέρει [από τη ζήλια της πάντα] και τη Lara και την Angelina!

Hi Sotiri! I've seen only the first movie, and I liked it. I liked the baddie (Manfred Powell) and the story and the way the creators combined all those elements that the games include, and presented them in a cinematographic way! I am a big fan of Lara Croft, and I like Angelina as her, I think she's the perfect choice. No, I didn't know she isn't coming here... That's bad news :(

Καλημέρα Νίκη. Σου έχω ευχάριστα νέα! Επειδή είχα ήδη δει δύο φορές την δεύτερη ταινία στον κινηματογράφο και οι γονείς μου δεν με άφηναν να πάω και Τρίτη. Αγόρασα από ένα πλανόδιο πωλητή την δεύτερη ταινία σε DVD. Αργότερα, όταν κυκλοφόρησε κανονικά την πήρα πάλι. Έτσι την έχω διπλή. Αν θέλεις, μπορώ να σον ταχυδρομήσω την μαϊμού έκδοση της ταινίας. Απλά είναι λίγο περίεργη στο χειρισμό. Βάζοντας την στο DVD, δεν ξεκινάει αμέσως, όπως οι κανονικές ταινίες. Πρέπει να πατήσεις κατευθείαν play. Έπειτα για υπότιτλους πρέπει να επιλέξεις από το κοντρόλ. Έχει μόνο ελληνικούς και με πολλά ορθογραφικά λάθη.
Dear Nicky.
I have some happy news for you! I had already seeing twice the second film in the movies, and my parents didn’t let me go for a third one. So I bought the film from a street market ages before its official release. Then I bought the official edition. So I now have the film twice.
This DVD has only the movie, there are no special features. It’s also a bit complicated. When you put it on the DVD-player, you have to press play for it to start. There are only Greek subtitles and you can choose them from the remote control of you DVD player. If you want I can send it to you through the post!

hey! when i get in tombraiderforums.com, i can't stop reading news and stuff. i was reading something and i realised that i was also smelling something... so my diner is burned it... i was having pizza... too bad. anyway. i want say that it might sound silly but in greece they don't sell VHS. only DVD's exept some cartoons and lord of the rings now! anyway. dear nicky... it's somekind of a law. they will not play cradle of life on tv until at least 2006. thta's why we saw the first movie a few months ago...

Yes, Angelina, sotiris is right. Here it's very difficult to find something on VHS now. A few years earlier, it was easier, but now it's not. Most films, series, etc that are in the market, are only on DVD.

I once left two 10 minute pizzas in the oven for 2 hours! They came out like tiny pizza biscuits. They didn't burn, so I still ate them! :D

Why do they think people in Greece don't use VCR's anymore?? :confused:
I mean you can see it here a bit too....there are ALOT of dvd's but fortunately enough we still have the options to get vhs....which is a good thing....I mean not everyone have the economics to buy an expensive dvd!!

The truth is, that in Greece you can find really cheap and good DVD players. Most people do own one, that's for sure! But I think there's some sort of DVD-mania that has risen these last years.
The only stuff you can find on VHS are classic films, old b-n-w greek movies, some documentaries, films for kids and specific movies, like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. There are stores that sell exclusively DVDs...

Well well....I've thought about getting one sometime in the future...

Since I tend to record quite a lot of movies....tv-series.
Hmmm the downside with a dvd-player is that the movies are more expensive to buy than the VHS version is!! :(
