Crystal Dynamics and Lara

With crystal dynamics in the US taking over from core design, who do you think's going to voice the next Lara? Jonell Elliott (TR 3-AOD) or will we have a new, american actress???

I think there are certain American actors who've nailed a British accent... Not perfect, of course, but I thought Renee Zellweger for example did pretty well when she did Bridget Jones, and Angelina didn't do all that bad either. Now Brad Pitt in Troy, that's a whole nother story. *laughs*

Anyway, I suppose they'll keep Jonell. Which would be good, because I just love hearing her speak. She could say any random word and I'd still like the sound of it.

As for Crystal Dynamics' graphics department... I dunno, Legacy of Kain doesn't seem all THAT better than the AOD. I mean, look...

And people whined about the AOD's graphics. But we'll see.

who did the voice of lara in tr 3. i loved that voice. it was so much more womanly. she kinda sounded like elizabeth hurly. they should bring her back.

But, then again, thats only a rumor.
I hope its true though, the plot line for AOD was...not Tomb Raider-ish.

If I went back and played the earlier games, I probably would notice a slight difference, but the fact that I didn't at the time is a credit to Jonell, as she was able to carry on with Lara's voice without me noticing any difference.

Granted. I'm sure there are many Americans who could master Lara's voice.

I just love the Legacy of Kain series, more for the storyline than the graphics, but I'm sure Crystal Dynamics will do a great job.

I'd prefer Jonell Elliot's voice since I've already heard it and it wouldn't seem real if they changed it to someone else.
