So what is the trick to jumping on to the Obelisk in the center of the swamp? I either land just in front or over on the left side.

Make sure you have jumped to the second green ledge, walk to the edge, angle Lara for the middle of the statue, and jump back and take a flying leap. She should make it. Good Luck!!

No trick, just not so good of instruction, you don't have to land on the Obelisk just overto the left as close to the wall and walk to the opening.
