No saving except at specific points

I always felt that the later games were made too easy by being able to save at any point in the game.
One of the original challenges was completing a sequence of tasks or timed run-jump moves in one unstoppable go.

I think the savegame crystal works fine for PS2, but for PC it should be like in TR4 and TRC where you can save at your own choice

I like to be able to save the game at any point. I know that it makes the game a little easier but trying to get to a save crystal makes me want to give up sometimes if the task I'm doing is very hard.

Let me get this straight, you guy's are complaining about saving in-between game play whenever you want.

Okay heres on idea, go play Indiana Jones Emporer Tomb, then we'll talk again.

I loved that game, but had to cheat at the last two levels of the game.

I played and finished the game, then i threw it in the trash.

Good game and everything in it, but bad savings.

I'm playing TR1 on the Pocket PC...and I'm saving whenever I have to make any jumps.
Way too frustrating otherwise.
