I say yes.... but in the next tomb raider it should have a bit more variety instead of punch kick kick http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I agree. Yes to hand2hand, but with more moves.

Hope that in TR7 there wont be no bad detective-story style like it was in AOD!

Hand 2 hand combat was something special and totally different for the TR fans. I think that most of us liked it.

I could also agree with more moves, I don't know though how it could be done. The "more" moves must be assigned to "more" buttons, as the "tap once, tap twice, tap three times" the Action key wasn't helpful. Tomb Raider is well know for the few keys you can use in order to perform many moves. I'm not sure if this will stand with the "more" moves we want.

I too thought the hand to hand fighting was ok and we should have some more of our Lara mixing it up and a few more moves wouldn't go amiss i.e. taking the Knights heads clean off...ouch!

I'd wanted hand to hand combat for a LONG time and was really happy to finally see it in AOD.
I want that retained but with more moves for sure.

Of course this would mean that things would get more complicated as far as the control system is concerned.

Now that I think about it, maybe they have in mind to do something like that (involve the mouse in gameplay). In AOD, you have the alternative to use the mouse for some movements, although it's not necessary to do it. What if they add the mouse as an important part of gameplay in the future games?

I have already played a game involving both keyboard and mouse and personally I find it rather tricky to keep control over both.....but of course it depends on how it is made

I have played a couple. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
At first I was a bit confused, but then I found it rather handy - for the specific game I was playing. I think it's more difficult, but that's exactly why it's more challenging. I can't say that I prefer it, but still I like it somehow http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Keep the hand to hand combat :D . I admit it was a little stiff in aod, hop they can improve it abit.

I liked the change of combat for AOD. However, I think that I'd enjoy this type of combat much more if Lara's moves were more fluid-smooth, and faster.

It would also be nice if the controls were easier to manage--I often found it tough to throw a punch and kick/finishing move consecutively. :\

I think they should keep the hand to hand combat because that way if you run out of ammo your not defenseless like in the other games. More moves would be great too. And maybe her fighting skills could improve throughout the game.

Yes, i really liked it. I didn't use the Neck-break much though, just the punching and kicking. ;) http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Yes it would be good if they had some more moves! :D

For PS2 Users ( for the future games ), maybe you can press like R2 or a button like that and change into hand-to-hand mode ( punching, kicking ), then they could put more moves in. :D

I agree with Steven and Elen ( http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif ).
There should be a special button what enables the hand2hand mode. That way you could use "jump", "action" and arrow buttons which will give you many different combinations to use in fighting...
Also I hate the mouse idea! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yuck.gif I've always hated the games where you have to use mouse and keyboard. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yuck.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yuck.gif

It took me some time to get used to the combination.
 When I was playing Indiana Jones, my fingers ached by pressing those buttons to make him beat the baddies, while trying to move him around at the same time. But the combat moves he could make were really rewarding http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I say "Yes" to hand2hand...it was stupid in the earlier TR games where if you didn't have a gun you couldn't protect yourself. That was at least one good thing about AOD  It wouldn't make sense if Lara couldn't defend herself without her guns
