If they make a Kurtis Trent game, would you get it. I think the idea has some potential. They could probably make a cool game about the Lux Veritatus. You could use powers and that weapon to fight the other dark alchemists. It would never be as good as TR, but I'd probably try it out. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

I read somewhere that the whole Kurtis/Lara thing was supposed to be 5 games all together. 3 with Lara and 2 with Kurtis. But that was before the whole Core to CD thing. I still hope they make them, they might be fun. ;)

Yeah, I would buy a Kurtis game! I'd see what the first one is like and if it's rubbish then I won't buy any more! I'd give it a chance though!
No, I wouldn't buy a Kurtis game. The fact he apperead in three levels doesn't mean I would play a game with him. I was "forced" to play those levels because I wanted to understand the story and at last complete the game. Something I will also do if he will be in the next game.

If you weren't forced to play as Kurtis, would you like him better? If you didn't know how bad he was during the game?

Depends on what the storyline is to the game. And maybe if Lara makes some cameos I might. ;)
He is an interesting character, with a rich backstory. At least, that's my impression up to now. I would like to see him starring in a game of his own. But he has to be faster :rolleyes:

I would play it for the fun of it.
I liked the relationship Kurtis and Lara had, but as a character on his own, he bores me.

sorry to dissapoint you guys but kurtis will NEVER EVER get his own game... i guarantee you that, now that CD has taken control and considering the majority of pple HATED him with a passion he will nnever have his own game.....hopefully CD will destroy him and never speak of him again......
I'm not sure I agree that most people hate him with a "passion." I would buy his game, why not? I liked him in AOD and it gives me motivation to buy his game. I have trouble as it is deciding what games to rent or buy since I know nothing about any of them besides a select few (a very select few). Since I know alittle about Kurtis and he's an interesting guy, I would check it out and give it a chance.

I would because Kurtis is a 'tomb raider style of character' to play, although I wouldn't rush out to buy it.

Playing through all the games so far, I, like others, have developed a 'personal' relationship with Lara. Whole days have dissappeared with Lara in all sorts of locations - she's like an old friend now. We've been through so much together...
Playing a game with a character as new as Kurtis rather than Lara would be pointless - I may as well go and play something entirely different like Mario Kart...

Lara is a great character but don't you think that Tomb Raider should be more about the game itself and not about who happens to be the main character? When I first played, I didn't even know Lara's name or anything about her. I happened to see my sister playing a game and decided to see what it was all about. It wasn't Lara that attracted me to Tomb Raider. Honestly, I would hate it if Lara was gone but Tomb Raider should be fun no matter who you're playing. I'm not saying get rid of her, I'm saying that playing as Kurtis shouldn't be such a negative in a TR-ish setting.
I think that he's a slightly intersting character but I think that he has no where to go from here. Lara was and IS a tomb raider. While Kurtis on the other hand was just searching for revenge and well, that's kinda been done, by Lara killing Eckhart of course. He has no future.

Yeah crystal, I do agree he has no future (in Tomb Raider) unless he falls in love with Lara or something. But as a character in a new game, they can do so much to him because he's not real. The revenge thing can be only a small part of his life, there's so much room to expand on him. It WOULD be a completely different game. When they said they would make a kurtis trent game, everyone assumed lara croft would be in it. You sound as though a KT game would replace TR. I'm talking about a new game with a new character, not nesscesarily involving Lara Croft or Tomb Raider.

I would definetly play a kurtis game but i do agree that they should give him an upgrade and we should be able to use his spiral knife thing!
