Where does Lost Artifact fit in series?

The Lost Artifact is my first TR game. Where does it fit in the series? From where its placed at this website, it appears to be an offshoot of TR3. Does Lost Artifact occur between TR3 and Last Revelation? I'm speaking from a story point of view. Was Last Revelation released prior to Lost Artifact or after?

The Lost Artifact is an add on or continuation of the plot for tr3 and was released after tr4 for some reason. :confused:

Thanks for the info. Since Lost Artifact is an add on, would you say the length of the game is about the same as the others or is it less precisely because it is an "add on"?

Lost Artifact is the one and only TR game I currently own. When I made the purchase, I knew it was not the first in the series but I had no knowledge of its "add-on" status. Don't get me wrong, I have no regrets. If anything, based upon your information, I can expect a larger storyline if I decide to purchase more TR games. My only hesitation is one of compatibility. You see, I only purchased my first PC last year. Before that I was Mac person. So now I have a nice Pentium III with Windows ME. When I purchased a gamepad so I wouldn't have to use my keyboard while playing Lost Artifact, it wouldn't work. I contacted Core Design and their response was that they will not troubleshoot any problems with PCs that have Windows ME installed (I later found out that the gamepad clobbered key settings in the game's config.txt file). They also said that any patches they had created for earlier versions of Windows would not be created for Windows ME. So I'm a little leery about purchasing more TR games, especially releases older than Lost Artifact. Do you have Windows ME installed and if you do, did you have any problems running any of the TR games? What TR games do you own?

I don't have windows ME, my computer is low spec and i only just managed to run my first tomb raider game tr3, from then on i bought TR for psx cos you don't have to put up with spesifications and stupid problems pc's get sometimes. I own tr3, 4 and 5 and i've played tr2. :D

If it is any help my PC recently died and I purchased a new one which uses windows ME. I own all the TR games - add-on levels included - and the only one which will not play on my new PC is the original Tomb Raider/Unfinished Business! Which I am quite :mad: about, but it is an old game now. Thankfully people are re-creating the game using the level editor! ;)
