...that's the problem - the walkthrough has left me confused also...and as far as I can tell by reading all of the TLA posts, no one else seems to be having this problem. I feel dumb.

(cut from the walkthrough)=Kill the fish inside, take the third secret and head back into the previous room. Climb out of the water, kill the guard and go into the control room.

"Head back into the previous room...what is that - when I go to what I think that is, it's at the bottom of a large white structure. Outside in the water looking in, I can see the room, the guard, I see the valves -- the problem is that the walls are too high - is there a "trick" to "climbing up and killing the guard"...

I tried to do that but as I just read my last post - it's a bit confusing.

After the 2 circuit bulbs are installed, a yellow door opens. Now there are 2 paths to go to next - one (hidden) leads to the 2nd secret/yellow sub/desert eagle (which I've done) and the yellow door leads to an area with a white structure and another hidden hole where the deadly fish/3rd secret is. That is where I am.

From the walkthrough here is exactly where I'm stuck ----> (...Kill the fish inside,) take the third secret and ***head back into the previous room. Climb out of the water, kill the guard and go into the control room.***

I have the 3rd secret and I have killed the fish.

I am supposed to be "in the previous room" and climb up out of the water and kill the guard.

I'm surfaced for air in the water, there is a guard above and the siren has sounded -- but (and here is my problem) the walls are too high and I can't climb up out of the water. Under normal circumstances I would abandon that option and try to find another place to get up/in - but I've been all over and can't find one. I have tried many ways and many things including shooting arrows to climb up on but to no avail. I have also been swimming around this area a lot and I can swim out and look into the room I want to be in, and see the guard, etc.

I think I am in the right place but I can't climb out of the water - is there a trick or am I completely in the wrong place?

I am anxious to continue TLA, I've done TR3 (all except killing the FINAL BOSS which is insane) and I'm looking forward to TLR & Chronicles. I get stuck all the time, but, with patience, a timely save, and a good nights sleep I can usually resolve it. Not with this one - it's been days since I've made any progress. :(

Wow...that was a long post - sorry.

I found where I need to be, and it was obvious if I had only looked in the right place.

...through the yellow door at the end of the tunnel is a ledge above...
