I just want to say that in the next TR game souldnīt be the strength upgrade during the game, it was ok like a trainning for the new moves of Lara in TR-AOD, because all the controls were new, but I think that the strength upgrade must be in a trinning level, like her house, and in the game she can uses all she have learned in the trainning level (so it is an important and obligatory level) ... i liked the running jump at the end of the game but she only uses twice, so if the upgrades are (all of them) in the trainning level she can go out and raide tombs like before in TR when all the strength -on- that characterize her. But the trainning level as a level appart like was before, and maybe she can get back some times for streigthen and some ammo or information in her library http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif .

The strength upgrades aren't too bad as an idea (although I also prefer the game without them :D ) but I do believe that if they are part of Lara's next adventure, there should be more realistic ways of gaining them. I mean, how can kicking a door open upgrade your strength? Or how can pulling a lever give you more speed? Or even worse: how can getting a respirator mask give you the ability to sprint?

thatīs why i say all the upgrades must be in the trainning level like her house (i really miss her house) where she has a gym and a wide open place to run, shoot, jump, swim, climb... I love her!! :D

there wont be any upgrades for sprinting in the next game they only put that in the first game because lara's just come back from a collapsed tomb which would have made her weak then she went to the mansion and got a phone call from von croy when she arrived there if there are gonna be up grades it will just be for new moves for her fighting skills now that she got the upgrades in aod she wont have to get the same upgrades in the next game because she will all ready have them

Hey Lita, your explanation makes sense. I'd have to agree with that.

it was pretttty damn retarded of them to make a strenght upgrade system without a strength upgrade bar. how the hell are we supposed to know how much strenghth we earned or how much more we need or wats the maximum amount of strenght we can get? it was pretty stupid i must say. even i would have thought of that. i mean how can you not? thats like not having a health bar.

The strenghth upgrades were a bad idea. When you've read the book "The amulet of power" which tells the story between TRLR and TRAOD you know Lara got enough exercise before she came to Paris. Also, the strength upgrades didn't always turned out to be essential for progressing in the game. I only learned about the running jump at the end of the game, after I finished the game. You didn't need it as long as you started in time!

I think the upgrades were put in the game in place of the secrets. They should've left it the old way.

They could probably use the concept of getting stronger throughout the game in a neat way, if they thought it out better. But how many people can push a heavy rock, or run long distances and feel stronger-realing dumb and unrealistic.

The strength upgrades were, to put it mildly, a tacky idea which should have been left out. Lara is a tomb raider and an action heroine, she doesn't need to push open a door in order to be able to perform running jumps
