Aw Net ya poor thing! Is there any way to save you?? You were such a nice person and now you're going to be a big-head!
Just kidding! :D
So, how does one become a mod? Is it the number of posts and/or how they're respected in the community? I have noticed that I'm now "Experienced forum raider" and can only assume that's tied with the number of posts I've done......??

You become a Mod when you contribute positively and don't make trouble for the Admins... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

And they usually invite you...

Plus the more you post the better off you are... no matter if you spam or not. Ah, I see ;)
Well, I've noticed that the mods/admins (bless them!) are all very, very happy and friendly people - so much so that I have to wonder if they take happy pills every morning to ooze that amount of glee http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-2.gif
Seriously though, I'm probably a little too cheeky to be taken seriously and I think cheek, no matter if it's all in good fun, is frowned upon a bit - either that or there seems to be a slight lack of personalities on this site......
(now, is that going to win me any popularity contests or would you class that as spam?) ;)

LOL Jenni, if I do become big headed, I should be removed instantly. But that is not likely, being mod makes me all the more conscious of my responsibility. How do you become Moderator? By being moderate I think. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

TR-Player you don't think there are members that actually do this just to get a mod or admin position? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif

But anyway I didn't mean that always agreeing with the admins was a bad thing. Its probably the best thing really. If an admin had to choose between two people for moderator and one didn't always agree with you where the other one did, the person who always agrees is the better choice because that person is easier to control and get along with. Who wants to keep fighting with their mods? Reality is that no matter where you go, which ever forum you go to, one person is in charge of the forum and he/she is going to make all the decisions no matter what the members say. It his/her forum. It would be nice if the members had a say in the decisions but really they don't. I've seen it happen too many times where the members thought they had a say and really they didn't.

I don't think any of the administrators of this forum would otorgate moderator permissions to these people who are not enough responsable to do his/her functions. Or at least they shouldn't, I think.
The time a member stays here is important, because the admins can see how responsable and concisious is it and then think about become it a moderator.

Anyway, I'm here almost 1 year and I still don't understand some aspects of how this forum works.

I think the "how you can become a mod" is not suitable for this thread. We can open a discussion in Gen Chat if you like. Besides, "when the cat's away, the mice will play" and Ann knows that. I'm not surprised by her posts.

Mark, I would be more than happy to explain you anything and reply to your questions http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Elen this was not to make out TRF as a bad place, I was merely stating what happens on all forums not just this one.

Jenni asked so I gave my opinion. If you look at the time I did not wait until you were away, and besides a mod could have stopped it at anytime.

Are you saying I can not post a opinion here?
