Thirty Five Years old in September
Thirty Five years ago (http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/internet/08/29/internet.birthday.ap/index.html) Stephen Crocker and Vint Cerf were tinkering in a UCLA lab with what would become the blueprint for the Internet. According to Cerf, if he had it to do over again, he would have more tightly integrated security into his creation. "With the tools we had then, we did as much as we could reasonably have done," says Cerf, who is working on the eventual migration to IPv6.

Oops! :D
I thought that the internet was developed during either world war 1 or 2, they had a cable from America connected to Britain for instant communication?

Seeing as we're also talking about the development of the Internet, I think Sir Tim Berners-Lee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Berners-Lee) deserves a mention. ;)
And... so does Mr Leonard Kleinrock (http://www.lk.cs.ucla.edu/) http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Makes you wonder.....how did I survive my first 13 or 14 years without the internet????
Good question.....now I'm 22 and use
it on a daily basis!! And can hardly imagine life without this great invention.....Internet http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-5.gif
