Ok I just want to know this because I have looked but don't know which video editing softwares good or not.
At the moment I just use an avi merger/splitter called Virtualdub *cringes* and, well, when making music videos (which I love to do, just recently started experimenting with TR ones tho) it is a long painful effort as you have to save each clip you want individually then amend it to your previous clips and just cross your fingers and hope that it goes in sync with the music *rolls eyes*
I know this may come as a shock to some of you people but I am still on a Windows 98 *cinges again*
So do people have any recommendations of good programs (free) that is available?
Thanks in advance ;)

Oh ok so I'm guessing Windows movie maker is compatible with 98 then? Just making sure because the other day I saw WMM2 and it said XP
Thanks ;) I'm gonna go and check it out
Windows Movie Maker may not be the most professional editing software, but it has the basics to make a good, simple video. I made The Old Man (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/marcustrogen/movies.html) music video, using the software.

i'm thinking of using adobe premiere which is more advanced then wmm2
hi i been wanting to make my own AOD video for a while now, but i don't have the game for PC and when i try to import some of the videos that you guys have made it doesn't let me and a message says ' You cannot import this file to windows moviemaker because it is not an indexed file.'
What does that mean? and would i be able to make my own movies if i download them from a site that have all the cutscenes from AOD?

well what I had to do (because Virtualdub didn't support wmv format) I had to convert the wmv files to avi files.....
Also does anyone know of a site that still hosts Windows Movie Maker the first one? Because I searched and they're all Movie Maker 2 :(

To create from scratch I use Cinema4D (v6 almost totally free http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ), to cut and compress already existing ones I use binkplayer (base version free).

I don't know if they have it, but they have a search engine and forum where you may be able to find the help you need...
