I have spent a little time trying to give color to the drawing Elysia posted in the fanart competition. this is my first attempt to color a drawing so i have alot to learn. but im makeing progress http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif i just wanted to show it so you can give me some feedback of how i can do things better next time. im pretty pleased with the hair actually. so dont give me feedback on that ;)
Thanks Elysia for letting me show your work http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Feedback > I'll start with saying - it's really good looking coloured drawing. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Well, how many light-sources there are actually? (looks like about 3) and good thing you blured background, that highlight Lara well. About hair; to make them more detailed (in this case it's more about ponytail) you just have to add some extra hair at edges, but it's only to make it detailed. Light reflection on her gun is a bit too blured, more sharper reflection would make more metal effect and etc, but I like it as it is. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif
Wow! very good job... for being your first attempt to coloring http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif
Feedback: you put light but it need a little bit of dark, just for give to the painting a feeling of realism, example: the green "t-short". The trousers, Boots, gloves and backpack need a little bit more light.
