hey do you guys know if i can dowload windows movie maker 2 without the service pack 2 or whatever. much help is appreciated

Don't remember exactly, but I think it works/ed fine with WinXP (without SP2), and I guess you'll need SP2 to download MM2 from microsoft site.

You can also download SP2 and Movie Maker 2.1 from Microsoft Update. If you cannot use Automatic Updates or download SP2 via Windows Update, order a CD.
