The ones that work. 3 plus a laptop. Rather a lot for one person. The laptop is mainly used for bird shows and for any family history groups. The old Packard Bell which only has a 20g HD which is too full. Will end up using that mainly for Bird Keeping records. The new Packard Bell which has an 80g HD. Then there is Big Bertha that when the renovations are finally moving along and I have somewhere to put it is my gaming computer with 120g HD running XP and a second 120g HD that runs Win98. They run independently and are not dual boot. The drives are in removable caddies. Will need that up and running for Legend.

Only one. It is a custom built one I did Feburary of 2004. An AMD 64 3000+ processor, quick SATA hard drive, DVD burner (which I just upgraded to a NEC dual layer burner) rocking sound card and some neat-o blue lights. I'll post a picture when I get home.
I am typing on the second computer I own, but I brought it in to work to use there.

well....technically I have 2, even if I have to throw away one of them, I've had it since around 97 and it broke around 2002. It's still in a storage room. Apart from that I only have a desktop in my room.

Two PCs, one which is totally ancient, probably covered in dust... And one laptop, which I'm afraid to use because I'll just screw it up like the one I'm using now. :(

Hey and the statue on the right, is that only looking so huge because of a smart camera's perspective or is it really like lifesize? :)

It is another lifesize Muckle figure we own. Like the lifesize Lara figures. This one is Mercury from the game Tron 2.0.

Did I mention that all our computers are running and networked and connected to the internet? ... just to stay on topic. :)

You are right: a few members report dead pc's here, which is not the topic and not interesting. I have 6 oldies (all Pentiums 1 and 2, dumped here by people) stacked in my cellar. They don't count.
Wow! Lifesize statues. To me, seems nice to have in the house. :)
Tron 2, a game i started 2 times but not yet played further through than level 1, hope to find the time soon.

GoranAgar
10-01-06, 07:15
Ooops, I forgot to mention my Dell Axim Pocket PC. So, add one to my list. :)

Tron 2.0 was a excellent game. I loved it.

We also own a lifesize Seven Of Nine. And maybe we should open a thread for that some time soon. ;)

Excuse me for being pedantic (so what's new?), but I have, as far as I can think, 13 computers at home. My PC and all the other household equipment that has a small computer inside it. :ton:

3 Pc's connected in a network and to cable via a router.
Why 3 ? Talking from experience, it is not a good idea to keep all your files on the same computer (even on different drives) and backups on different computers brings a pleasant feeling of safety. :D
