I just recently installed my dearly beloved FIFA 2000 on my 'new' PC, and I'm afraid it doesn't recognize my Radeon 9800pro in the setup menu. Therefore, I can only play it in the less-than-spectacular 640x480 software rendering mode.
This is the setup menu on my PC:

Is there any way to 'convince' the game I have an older, recognizable graphics card, so the hardware rendering mode becomes available?

Have you thought about going to the game's website or the publishers forum? This must be a known issue and there may be a patch.

EA doesn't offer support for the game anymore, neither directly nor through the forums.

OK, I've looked into this a bit Mona. The patches at the top Here (http://www.fifa2000.net/downloads/patches.html) should help you out. For further information, read about this guy's patches Here (http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?t=71901&highlight=fifa+2000+radeon+9800). Hope that fixes your problem. :wve:

OK, it works in full 1024x768 glory now.
