I haven't played this level in awhile, and I had forgotten that I couldn't find a secret here.
I found it the other day! It was the invisable block by the Shinx's left shoulder! But as soon as I jumped unto it, I got attacked by flying monsters and died! LOL. :eek:

I have trouble getting off the invisable platform without achiveing death.

@ Croft Raider: If I remember right you get Uzis from that ledge - the most powerful weapon in TR1. You may use these to kill the monster ;)

They are actually very easy to dispatch. Don't take any steps (just circle in place as needed) and blast them. I take them out with the pistols.
