I read somewhere before that someone had the opinion that the shark in the trailer looked rather fake.

Hmmm. That person must not have seen the same trailer as I, because the shark I saw looked very real. Of course the scenes were passing very quickly, but I have watched it now several times. The shark does not look fake at all to me. It looks very real.

That person who saw it also said the effects were not finished when they saw it.

Oh okay. Fair enough. I believe TR2 - Scribe stated just recently that even now they are still working on FX.

More on that trailer. Is there a flash of a creature/monster in there toward the end of the trailer? It happens so quickly and my computer here at the office has no sound, so it is difficult for me to tell. And I have seen some comments regarding a monster or something, but frankly I can't make anything out. Input, anyone?

Indeed, the "Shadow Guardian" or "Shadow Warrior." No good pictures from the movie, but check the most recent action figures thread to get a rough idea what it/they look like.

Okay! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I have seen that nasty looking beasty! I could not discern that from the trailer. But now that you mention it, (gosh, still it happens so fast) I can perhaps make out something of that "Shadow Guardian" creature. Hmmm. Creepy.

When they are travelling to the Cradle of Life there is a petrified forest in which to travel through. These are the dark scenes which includes the monster. I assume this guardian guards the entrance to the Cradle Of Life.
